My brother's in the hospital again. I mean, it's nothing new. But with all the times he's been sick this past year, it's a lot worse. He's been on dialysis for a few years, so he's supposed to have a lot of protein. However, this past year he's been getting CDIF. You can look that up if you feel like it, but no one feels like it.
With CDIF he's constantly throwing up, so he can't get the protein he needs. It takes a lot out of him. Well, about a month ago, he got it again. He had it for a few weeks, but he went ahead and stayed home for whatever stupid reason. He finally went to the hospital. We thought he was over the CDIF and it was just something else wrong with him, but after a week in the hospital he's started throwing up again.
Not only that, but he can barely breathe, partially because he's so weak. All the thin liquids he drinks go into his lungs. For some reason his heart is enlarged too. He may or may not have a disease that temporarily paralyzes you from the feet up and can kill you when it reaches a certain point. My brother isn't even thirty yet and he looks like a f---ing skeleton.
They put him in the ICU day before yesterday and they might have to put him on a respirator. Yesterday they drained a liter of liquids from his lungs. His blood sugar dropped too. He's made it through a lot of s---, but honestly, this time I'm scared.
There's a lot of other s--- that's going on in my life right now but if I typed it I'd just get called an attention whore. I know how things work on here. And before anyone says it, I know people have it worse. But that doesn't stop my brother from being sick. So f--- off. -
