This might not make sense but I'd try washing it less and just with water

If the problem is oil, water won't do jack.

I remember using soap (different kinds) and washes specially for that kind of thing and neither helped.

Mm but I think it's more to do with diet and water

It really all depends on skin type. Nothing seems to be working for me, either. It's sometimes a biological thing.

Try eliminating or cutting down on a certain food (one at a time) for a few days like something unhealthy or sugary and see if it improves, that's what I did now I know roughly what I can eat
