  I can turn a gold in 16 seconds with my current setup. Goldfish statues with 3 wires into it.
  But I want to turn money even faster.
  And advice?

  Go to hell and kill voodoo demons. I played terraria for only about 3-4 days and I already have hollow armour (Second best) now WOF is like a green slime to me.

  Farming any boss is good. The drop usually cost a lot. Also when you get enough money buy the old grandma pet. Costs 1 platinum.
