The Elsewhere By AnimePhan.
Everdeen was suddenly in a new world. Everything, looked... different. The sky was dark and full of stars. The clouds were nice, big, and gray. The sun wasn't the sun any more, it was the moon. The houses looked Victorian and old as a grandma. The gravel pavements looked like they were there since the beginning of time. Everdeen stood up and brushed her floral, rippled, skirt and looked around. She took in the scenery and was mostly surprised. "This looks nothing like the place I live in." said Everdeen in her mind. The place looked nothing like Earth. It felt more comfortable to be in. Although, her lungs couldn't take the smoky oxygen in the atmosphere. She looked around and saw nothing but air and man-made objects. She was looking for a person to ask where she was. She spotted a red and black house with a splash of nice white. It looked more different and unique than any other house in the block. Everdeen sucked it up and walked on the clear pavemant of the driveway and onto the porch, she knocked on the painted black door. The door smelled like fresh paint, like this was a newly made house. A lady opened the door and saw Everdeen, she stared into her navy blue eyes. The lady looked middle-aged, she was wearing a sparkly black dress, spiky pointy shoes, and her hair was in a nicely braided bun. "Who might you be?" said the lady. "Um, I am Everdeen Caitlin. I don't know where I am. All I remember is sleeping at night like everybody else and when I woke up I ended up here. And it feels weir-" The lady interrupted. "You may come in as my guest, but beware if you mess up anything you will be all on your own." The lady looked at Everdeen with a face that you couldn't tell if she was angry or not. "Thank you, lady." "You can just call me, Maria." said the lady and motioned Everdeen to come in. When Everdeen walked into the house, the house looked totally more innocent than the outside. The interior was pink and white and a yellow, a nice yellow you wouldn't imagine in houses, the furniture was matched with the pretty colors on the wall. The whole house smelled like fresh paint, just like the door. The women pulled up a chair and motioned "Would you like to sit?" "Yes, Madame Maria." "Would you like a cup of tea?" "Yes, that would be great." Madame Maria poured a cup of tea. The tea smelled fresh as well, like she made a new batch. The aroma of the tea made Everdeen's mouth quiver in delight as she picked up the antique china and put it up to her mouth and sipped. The tea tasted like sweet honey and peppermint. Maria poured her cup and sat down on the other side of the table. "So, do you wanna know why you are here, dear child." "Yes, I would like to know." Maria took a nice sip of her tea and postured herself. "Well, the reason why you are here is that you are basically dead but you are still living. It doesn't make sense, but still you are dead." "What.. How'd I die?" "I don't know. But, my sense are telling me that you just died of destiny." "Destiny?" "Yes." "So.. What place is this?" "This place is called The Elsewhere, a place for for the dead that are still living." "That doesn't make any sense. Is it possible for me to go back home?" "Well, that's all I can say. The rest is for you to find out." "But!" "The rest is for you to find out." The woman dropped her cup furiously and stood up. "Like I said, It's the rest for you to find out." The women grabbed her and Everdeen's teacup and went to go wash them both. "For me to find out huh, I will find out. And I will get back home."
