My friend is an idiot and tries to make himself look good by putting me down and trying to make me jealous, and the worst part is I'm pretty sure he's closeted and crushing on me.

That's alot like my friend he's a jerk to me and everyone can see it but when I get mad at him he get's a teary-eyed and ignores me. Maybe she's les and likes you, and is jealous of your crush like my friend is.
