This is a really cute head canon and everything like I'm not kidding omg this is adorable this would be totally be one of mine
but someone who speaks that fluently and knows how to write in English SHOULD be able to write in Spanish /look at me. I taught myself how to write in Spanish bc I spoke Spanish, not even fluently, but I spoke it.
We use about the same alphabet. In Spanish, the words are spelled how they are pronounced. The only thing is knowing how each sound is pronounced, but if Alfred had an understanding of Spanish to the point where he sounded like he was native to the language, then it should be no problem.
But trust me, this is a cute head canon.
I personally believe that he can hold basic conversations. Not like a native, but like a second generation Mexican-American. xP ( as in the grandchildren of immigrants. Not the children. ) -

lol I think speaking it is easier, too. I could have a pretty basic spanish conversastion but couldn't write one xD
