Oops...
Ryan looked across the hall, walking slowly away from the open door behind him. He quietly opened another, wincing as it made a loud creaking sound. A head looked up at him, smiling almost instantly. "I, um, sorry. Wrong room." He slammed the door shut, leaning against it. -
That's fine.
Demitri heard a shuffling noise and he jumped onto the wall, almost seeming to stick to it. A flash of red darted towards the door. Demitri lightly jumped onto it. A small "Uuufff!" could be heard. -
The door nob turned under his back, and he pressed the door shut, not allowing it to be opened. Sliding his bag off his back, he grabbed a key, locking the door from the outside. He smiled, and walked across the hall, into an empty room.
-
"Leech! Get off me!" the red-head screamed. Demitri's eyes were now red. He frowned, picking her up with one finger and holding her up into the air. "Leech? Hm....is that what we're called in this day and age? Leech.." His head tilted to the left as he looked at the girl. She knew a lot for being only ten.
-
He closed the door behind him, locking it. Walking over to the far corner of the room, he set in a small space, between a wall and the book shelves. Ryan took of him bag, opening it and dropping the key back in.
-
A small figure appeared behind Ryan, her face covered by a black hood. The hood trailed down to her long coat. She cleared her throat, trying to get his attention.
"Yeah, you're a leech. Blood-sucker. Vampire. Weirdo, don't you pay attetnion to anything? Put me down!" Her blue eyes sparkled with pure hatred. Demitri kept her in the air. The room was dead silent. With the girl in the air, he walked down into the hall. "You're not going anywhere. I spent time I could have used hunting to get to you, kid.." -
He turned around slowly, dropping the bag, and kicking it to the other side of the bookcase. "How'd you get back there? This is a private room."
-
(Alright, so does Ryan know he's of royal blood yet or does my little Jade get to tell him?)
"That, is none of your buiness. I'm here and that's all that matters." She spoke calmly, her head turning to stare at the bookcase.
Demitri continued walking down the hall, ignoring the girl's sounds of protest. His face was quite pale. -
(He has no clue of it)
He frowned, huffing. "And why are you here then?" Ryan tilted his head sideways at her, blinking. -
"Ryan Avain, you're the Prince of this realm. You are hearby sought out by hunters and must be protected. We have a protecter on the list and he has waited to be able to gaurentee your saftey. Likewise, you must come with me, my lord." Jade bowed to him quickly before standing. "It'll be a quick ride, I assure you...."
Demitri set the girl down outside as soon as he was hit by throbbing pain. A little click went off in his ear and a small voice piped up. "Lelelele, Dem? We neeeeeeddd yooouuu." Demitri winced. "Eh..fine. Where?" "The castle, silly!" -
He let out a low whistle, standing up. "Somebody is a nutjob..." He let his voice trail off, laughing. "But it sounds like this could be a fun ride on the crazy train. Lets go then." He knew well that this girl must be insane.
-
"I'll show you." Jade's hand slid into a bag on her waist as she pulled out a royal paper. It was rarely seen in the castle, much less the public outside. On it was neat writing, followed by a signature from the King.
Dear Ryan,
For years we have ignored you. By now you are probably well in your teens. I wish we could have kept you with us. But you would be killed, so we had to send you off. I can only hope you'll believe your mother and I. We don't have much time until we die, but you ARE heir to the throne. Likewise Jade will help you along. We love you.
~King Aaron -
He blinked in confusion for a moment. "So your not making this up then." He read it a few more times, holding it up to the light. "Wow." He had nothing eles to say. As far as he knew, his parents had died a few months after his birth.
-
Jade stood impatiently as she watched him. Her foot lightly tapped the floor.
-
He looked up, folding the paper. "Lets go then..."
