I kept my pistol in my hands, at low in case I need to use it. I looked around, then ran east.

"The beings running pretty fast. Yep, probably just a werewolf." Lizzy commented. "But what if the werewolf is chasing a mortal?" I asked. Lizzy raised an eyebrow. "Really? You know I can see father than two or three miles, so you should also know I probably would see the mortal. Now, come on! I don't want to be late for Johnny's party!"

Something told me that there was something behind me, I stopped, ducked behind a wall, and raised my pistol to look.

"You can go ahead, I'm going to go check out the being." And with that, I changed into a bat and flew off west. "Whatever. Just don't get yourself killed or lost!" Lizzy called.

I gripped the weapon tighter, hearing nothing.

It took me pretty quick to get to the building, where I saw the being, since I was the fastest flyer and runner in my grade. Anyway, I changed back into my normal self and walked quietly inside the crumbling building.

I heard something, just a few footfalls in the building. I ran down the street at full tilt

I heard footsteps outside the building. I quickly ran out to find a being running pretty fast down the street. Maybe it is just a werewolf. But I changed into a bat and followed anyway. They probably wouldn't find me anyway since its very dark out and my bat self was as dark as the night.

I kept running, my pistol low in my left hand. -
Maybe I should go back

I kept running, sure that something was behind me.

I started slowing down because I was thinking bout go back, but I decided against it. Instead, I turned back to my normal self and yelled, "How's it going?!"

I stopped and spun around, bringing the pistol up so I was staring down the tritium-lit sights raised at the target that appeared behind me, "who are you?"
