I just nodded, and took one bite of my sandwich. -
I hadn't expected the plate to be so huge, and full of the meal. I took the fork and dug in.

I was half through my sandwich when I asked, "Why did you ask that?"

I glanced at you and swallowed before talking. When I spoke, it was measured and kind of slow, like I was trying to figure out how to word it. "Well. I find that...getting beat up...is a good way to...toughen up. That's why I'm .....like what I'm like."

I shrugged and nodded. "Alright." The way he said it was sort of weird, but okay. I began to eat my salad, picking at the green leaves.

I bit my lip. "Did any of that make sense?"

"It made perfect sense." I whispered.

I nodded. "...good...I guess"

I decided I was done eating. I pushed my plate in front of me.

I felt bad now. "You mad?"

"Nope. Just full." I whispered.

I sighed and whispered "okay"

I held my breath for a few seconds. "Have you ever heard Don't Laugh At Me by Mark Wills?"

I thought. "No, I don't think so."

"Well. At one point, it goes, 'In Gods eyes, we're all the same. Someday we'll allhave perfect wings.' Makes me think.."
