"Yeah?" I asked.

"I'm worried for my mom.. She was supposed to be home by midnight.. And it's after midnight." I said, my voice cracking.

"Call her." I said weakly.

"What if she doesn't answer?" I asked.

"Can't we call the police so they can track her phone?" I asked.

"I don't wanna go that far.. She always comes home.. Just late.. Lemme text her. She has more a chance of answering." I texted my mom, asking where she was.

"Okay.." I stayed silent.

She texted back, saying she's having a great time. "Really.." I sighed.

"What is it..?" I asked worried.

"She's fine.. Just having a good time.." I said.

"Oh." I frowned hugging him tightly.

I hugged him back just as tightly. "I really don't like it when she does this.." I mumbled.

"I know.." I stroked his back.

I smiled a little, kissing the top of his head. I stroked his cheek softly.

"When is your friend coming?" I asked smiling.
