She shook in her sleep

He glanced at her and frowned. She could be having nightmares... He covered her with a jacket and kept driving, getting into town.

The smell of him calmed her down in her nightmares

He got to her house and quietly got out and opened her door. He lifted her out of the seat and nudged the door closed with his foot.

She snuggled into his chest

He opened the door to her house and walked in, through the house and up to her bedroom

She clung to his neck slightly like a child

He gently set her down on her bed.

She frowned in her sleep and curled up

He covered her with her blankets and quietly slipped out.

She slept peacefully his coat still on her

He left the house and called his friend. "How's it going?"

Sleeps still

He got back into the car and drove back to the site. Time to kick some butt.
