Intrigued, Kiseki let the flames die down around her feet and hands, watching the scene.
Ibuki even put down her sake and turned her attention to the two, taking time to adjust the ribbons on her horns. -
Kana is still sitting on her trapeze bar, watching the scene and quite amused.
-
Seras still looked confused. "Uh... no, I really don't."
I let go of Seras, throwing her to the ground. I stepped on one of her arms, ensuring that she'd have to stay there and face me. "You're the only one in this whole circus who has *any* contact with my family, other than me. And I have no intention of keeping in contact with what's left of them. So why the *hell* did I find a letter from one of them in my tent?" I grinded my foot into Seras's arm. I would get an answer, even if it cost Seras her arm. Or her life. -
Kiseki turned toward Ibuki, who watched Seras and Lucille intently now.
-
Kana swings on the trapeze like a little kid would swing at a park. She gave an amused glance to her trapeze partner.
-
(Should someone intervene?)
I glared at Seras, waiting for an answer.
"Okay, so maybe I might have contacted your brother..." she admitted.
I smiled. "Lovely. Just what I needed." I took a switchblade out of my pocket, flipping the blade back and forth. "Thank you, Seras. Really. I'll give a surprise in return." I lunged at her, slashing at her shoulder. -
(If you want.)
Ibuki stood up, glaring. "'Ay! Don't slice 'er up. We still need her." She began to walk over, intending to break apart them.
Kiseki just watched, glas Ibuki had intervened. -
Kana stepped onto the bar, backflipped to grab the bar with her hands, then swung and did a backflip release to land on the ground. "Yeah, she's quite important."
-
I laughed. "Would you two rather have me slice *you* up?" I pressed the blade closer to Seras's shoulder. She winced as the blade pressed against her shoulder, not cutting her. Yet.
"Guys, you really don't have to--"
"That's right. You don't have to. She's our sword swallower. She can handle blades juuuust fine. Right, *puppet*?" I sliced Seras's shoulder, leaving a fairly big gash. I stood up and smirked. "You gonna do anything, puppets?"
(She calls people her puppets when she's mad at them.) -
Ibuki growled, red eyes flashing "That's just enough! Stop it."
Right as Ibuki said that, Kiseki darted over, placing a hand on lucille's shoulder. -
Kana didn't know what to do, so she just stood there for moral support, in case they needed her. She just glared at Lucille.
-
I hissed at Kiseki. "Hands off, puppet. Unless you have a death wish." I grinned. "I could certainly help with that." I looked at the blade of my knife watching the blood drip off of it. I licked the blade, cleaning the blood off. "Seras. Get up."
Seras did as I said, walking over to me. I smiled, placing a hand on her shoulder, next to the cut. I glanced back at the rest of my puppets. "Don't worry. I'm done hurting her for now." I turned back to Seras, smiling at her, then licking the cut. -
Ibuki huffed, muttering something about not getting paid enough for this, and then went back to her sake.
Kiseki drew away, glaring at Lucille, and shooting an apologetic glance at Seras. -
Kana looked questioningly at the blood-licking, then nodded apologetically at Seras and backed away to her trapeze.
-
Seras mouthed "thanks" to the others.
I was too focused on Seras's blood to care. I didn't realize that I'd bitten her until I heard her gasp in pain. I shrugged. "Eh, you won't turn into one. No worries." I went back to focusing on Seras's shoulder. It wasn't good enough. I needed to kill something.
