Beatrice chuckled. "So one person out of millions knows the truth? So comforting for you, I imagine."

Chester exhaled sharply. ‘Jayden also knows. And Oliver, and Maeve- How about I just tell everyone what you did, how does that sound?’

Beatrice's smile hardened. "I'd like to see you try. In case you've forgotten, I've got some information about you I'm sure the public would kill for."

‘I-‘ Chester cut himself off, trying to think. But Beatrice was right. ‘Whatever. People won’t care in a few weeks.’

"About an affair? You're right, they won't. About a murderer?" Beatrice tutted again and finished packing.

Chester clenched his jaw. ‘You wouldn’t. Y-You’re just trying to scare me.’

"I wouldn't risk it if I were you~" Beatrice shrugged, kissing him quickly as she walked to the door.

Chester stared at her in disbelief, mouth slightly agape. ‘I-‘

Beatrice smirked. "We'll see~" She said, waving as she left.

Chester sighed watching her leave. He waited a few seconds before walking back down the hall to his room.

Jayden lit up once he saw Chester walk in.

Chester smiled weakly and lay down next to him.

"You okay?" Jayden asked, grabbing his hands.

‘Yep,’ Chester said, feigning a smile. He couldn’t tell Jayden he was a murderer. ‘She just tried to kiss me again.’

Jayden frowned. "Thank god she's gone." He muttered.
