  It is a good concept. Although it has been done before, hasn't everything? After thousands of years of people writing things, just about every good main idea has been used. But the unoriginality i'nt important. It's the style if writing that's important. Each story has different characters with different actions, differents plot twists, and different settings. With that being said, there is not a single soul that has written THAT story. They may have written a similar story, but they cannot write your story. I say write it, because there are always going to be people to judge and dislike your writing. You could write this for fun, and then write other stories with detailas taken from this one. I've written many junk stories- not that this will be one- that I kept to myself and still enjoy rereading. After revisising them each time I read them, they become better and better, so I show people, and they forget about the unoriginality of it and focus on the story itself. There are always going to be haters. Trust me on that. Go ahead and write anyway!
