So few Catholics today know the most basic points of the Catholic faith. They attend CCD for years, and can't give a clear reason for being a Catholic. Those of us who have learned our faith well, have studied the best source, the Baltimore Catechism. We are the traditional Catholics.

Mortal is illegal and venial is not.
Mortal sin is a deadly sin, it kills the life of God within us. Venial sin is a lesser sin.
There's no difference.
Mortal sin is murder, venial is all other sins.
Mortal sin is public, venial is private.
5. What do we mean by the four marks of the Church?
One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic.
The four evangelists:Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
John, George, Paul, and Ringo
The crucifix, the chi-ro, the fish, the Papal seal.
6. What is the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist?
It's a remembrance of the Last Supper.

7. What are the chief spiritual works of mercy?

8. What is the best method of assisting at Mass?
To respond to the prayers and sing the hymns.
