nathanthomas, What foundation are you talking about. You speak of this great foundation that this country was built on. You mean the foundation that African slaves and Chinese immigrants built. Is that the foundation you speak of. Or maybe you are refering to the foundation of non-white males not being able to have a say in the progress of this country for the last 400 plus years. Is that the kind of foundation you speak of. Please enlighten us all with your knowledge of this great country and its great past. I guess I read the history books wrong.

I have traits that are indicitive of both parties, but the last time I heard a republican cite thier mantra of by-god-if-you-want- something-find-a-wa y-to-go-and-get-it knowing full well that not only was THIER education paid for, but that they plan to pay for thier children's, I took them apart----and I'll do it again!! How DARE you shout from the rooftops that assistance is wrong when you've received not only assistance, but the most important assistance there is (education is the basis for everything), and that YOUR children are the exception to the rule. Why is that? If that's the best way, then that's the best way; stop contradicting yourselves, and instead, preach on what you know, and from what I can tell, this isnt it. I've NEVER heard this statement out of anybody that has had to go through life without anyone to depend on for anything whatsoever. Yes, its wrong for others to "expect" help, but its also wrong to blindly turn away from ALL those in need!

Btw, I don't like socialized medicine, but I think the government could at least have a government insurance plan to cover for the 59 million uninsured. But NEVER EVER mandate it!

I'm proud but quiet about being pro gun, life, and capital punishment in a very, very liberal high school.
If gay, lesbian, and transgenered couples loved eachother enough, they wouldn't care about being married, because their bond is what keeps them together,not a ceremony or piece of paper.

...and one more thing. The earth has been through A LOT. It's not just going to destroy or explode in a couple of decades. If the liberals in power gave more opportunities for scientists and engineers to build, then maybe we can think of solutions that will reduce our dependancy on oil, and reduce emissions, etc.
