"Yeah." I yawned, rubbing my eyes with the heels of my palms.

"You tired?" I asked.

"A little bit." I answered.

I got a textfrom my mom telling me to come home. "Well, I have to go anyway." I said.

"Oh, okay." I said looking at my feet. "Can we hang out tomorrow?" I asked.

"Of course." I said. I kissed her cheek.

"Yay." I said in a childish voice. I hugged her tightly.

I smiled and hugged her back. "Bye." I said softly.

"Bye." I said, walking behind her to the door.

I looked down as I walked.

I closed the door once she was outside.

I dug my hands into my pockets and slowly walked home. I suddenly remember my mom and felt a sudden wave of irritation.

I went up stairs to clean up the scattered popcorn and pop cans

I violently unlocked the door and slammed it open. "Mom! We need to talk!" I shouted.

Once I was finished, I sat on my bed reliving the day over again.
