  1. You walk out of the health room, hoping you wouldn't get attention from Kathryn, Jake and mostly Cameron. Bad idea. As soon as you step out, Jake says, "Ok, great. So Imma cut to the chase." He is unfocused, and waved at some popular girl passing by in a slutty outfit. "So, we gonna switch back 'cuz I don't wanna work with you." You sigh in relief. You reply, "Okkk, good because I felt the same way. Now, you can ask Mrs. Lavinburg to switch on Monday. Anyways, we need to have a place for our homework." He fixes his jacket, and leans on the hallway wall decorated with little snowflakes made by the art club. His arm laid roughly on the art workwas basically messing them up and destroying them. He probably didn't care, and is more self centered than Cameron. In fact, what Jake meant was that he didn't want to work with your face, period. It was rude, but you felt the same way and went along with it. He runs his hand through his mesy golden brown hair. "How about the park at Sunlight Drive? At 4:00." he asks. You nd. "K. " He turns to leave. But then, he turns back. "Hey you have a dollar?" he says. Of course you do. You always carry five dollars around in the pencil case you keep in your bag. "Nope." you answer, not feeling guilty at all. He turns back, and walks away as if he never met you. At last after the long conversation, you were walking to your locker at last minute to put your binder in. After the warning bell rung, the hall monitors would stroll the school, as if they were really that important. Quickly, you ran to past the classrooms to your cafeteria. You were really not in the mood of getting caught. Until some person tapped on your shoulder. *pease don't be a hall monitor...*
  2. You turn straight around and was face to face with Kathryn. Her eyes shone with excitement. "Oh my gosh, thankyouthankyouthankyou! You're the bestest best friend one can ever have!" she bellows. Fakingly, you paste a million dollar smile on your face. NOW you were guilty as charged. Even though you switched partners to satisfy your BFF, you just asked Jake to switch back. Technically, he asked you if you wanted to. But you knew the reason why. Kathryn was so into Cameron. She then hugs you to death and you could have sworn at that moment your face turned a bright red. "Ok, I think we should get going." you point out. Kathy looks around. "Yeah, I know." You guys sit at your normal tables. During lunch, it seems like there actually is a certain place reserved for you. Populars at the back table, irking the lunch aides and scattered people elsehere. The meanest lunch lady snagged everyones' atention. "LISTEN PEOPLE! I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE, BUT WE CAN START SITTING OUTSIDE AT LUNCH. FRESH AIR? YES. BRIGHT SUN? YES. WANDERING OFF? YOU BETTER NOT DO THAT OR I'LL BEAT YO' @SS!" she yelled. There was an awkward silence. Then, a pretty girl, Nicole, who had long straight red hair cheered. She sat in the back. Everyone joined in, as if they were supposed to. The lady screamed again, "Listen! I want you all to be wearing a jacket. Not some over sized heavy winter coat, but a simple jacket. Behave yourselves!" Then, she makes her way to the back door and opens it. The whole cafeteria ran out. Deanna looks at you. "You need a jacket." she proclaims. You look down. Oops, you had forgotten. "Shhh, don't tell anyo-" you were interrupted by the killer stare Deanna and Kathy were giving you. Ever so slowy, you turn around, facing Mr. Horing, the dean. He shakes his head in disbelief. "That's it, Miller. You're getting after school detention. Now goo get your jacket." He gives you the little yellow slip, and and you read the time. 4:00 to 5:30. Oh great. During the time with Jake.
  3. It was pretty stupid, because as soon as you got out, you saw people breaking all sorts of rules. A guy and a girl was in his mustang, making out. Some other group of guys were playing football in the far field. Only the "cooperative listeners" were doing what was right, and eating their lunch. Well, you were sitting at the table underneath the blossom tree, with a branch hanging dwn so low that it exposed the pink cherry flowers. Kathryn seemed to be in a really good mood. No duh. She munched happily and said, "What a beauuutiful day! The flowers are so pretty." Mark agreed, "Yeah I know. You like cherry blossoms, huh?" A bird chirped jauntily as to reply to Mark. Deanna then states, "You know, it's pretty stupid to be a rule wearing a jacket. I mean, more than half of us aren't wearing one." You guys shift your weight and turn to look at the guys playing football. All of their jacket were tossed in a messy heep, and paying attention to the game. Some girls were cheering to them.
  4. The rest of the day was sloow, especially history. After the final bell rang to end the school day, you sigh thankfully. Grabbing all your stuff, you raced to Homework Club. It's where you go when you have detention later. You glance at the old dusty clock. 3:26. Then, you haul the big backpack that you carry around. A bag full of rocks, Kathy would say. You get your homework done. Until you got to the health project #2. It stares at you in disbelief. You pull out your phone reluctantly and text Jake you can't make it. Swiftly, you put your phone in your pocket because if the teacher caught you, you were dead meat. After finishing all the work, you had an extra 10 minutes. You played with your hands. Hair. Anything. At last, it was time. You stroll down the isolated hallway that seemed strangely loney after svhool. No buzz of excitement. When you made it there, it was completely empty. You've been there only once, because you were late. But you were sick so you had an excuse. This time, you were there because you got in trouble. A whole different league. The principal, Mr. Horing, greeted you(sorta). "Well well, one shows up. Now sit down." he snaps. A moment later a bunch of guys from playing football at lunch appeared at the door. Mr. Horing leaves the room and shuts the door behind him. Even though he was outside, he was loud.
  5. "Ok you troublemakers! I'm going to put you all in a seperate room. No excuses, nothing." he booms. You remained silent. After a couple of minutes, He walks back in with a dude behind him and the rest of te gang in different rooms. The dude was not just an ordinary one. It was Cameron. His icy stone blye eyes wander around the room, and doesn't seem interested. Probably been here a million times already. His eyes then hit you. He takes a seat from the other end, and Mr. Horing leaves. "No talking," he orders. "I'm checking on the others." After he left Cameron says, "Why we switch partners? You hate me?" You pretend to be annoyed, but honestly, you don't know why. "I don't know." you answer plainly. You change the subject. "You're here because of football, huh?Pretty stupid." you smirk. He replies defensively, "Hey! Sports is my life! Besides, why are YOU here?" You tell him and he cracks up. "Talk about lame." he snorts. You smile, and roll your eyes.
  6. Silence fills the room. Cameron looks at you with those cute eyes. He takes out his iPod and again blasts your least favorite song. You groan and he smiles in satisfaction. "Why," you say, "Do you hate me?" Cameron looks kind of torn and then says, "Actually, why do YOU hate ME? Switching partners? Obvious." A pang of guilt hits you, the target of the game. The little rod goes up and hits the bell. Winner. Officially proven guilty as charged. You dodge the remark. "Um, is Kathryn ok?" you ask, feeling wierd. "Yeah, she's MUCH more cooperative than YOU." he remarks. "Hahaha," you laugh, not really laughing. *Get to the point, Hannah. Get to it.* "Who do you like better?" you burst out, and feel embarrassed. *what does Cameron think of me? What does he think of Kathy??* He raises his eyebrows. "Why? Are you jealous? You like me? Yes you do." he answers for you. "Really long story." you mutter. He doesn't take it. "Oh thou Hannah. I have time. Get to the point already." he grits from his teeth. *Cameron looks cute when he's annoyed. His golden blonde hair that always falls into place...* your thoughtful contemplation drifts off and off peacefully, until it hits the astroid that was coming your way. The boulder in the road. The annoying misquito on your arm. The Cameron that irks you. "Just answer me." you plead. "I promise it's worth it." He thinks and says, "Kathryn is always so nervous, but she's hot though. You... your ugly but straight forward." He stops. "That enough?" You narrow your eyes. "Enough to make my day." you reply sarcastically.
  7. "Retard." you retort. "Stupid brainless b!tchy retard." He gasps dramatically. "Oh Hannah Amber Miller no swearing!" he exclaims in a high pitched voice. "Oh shut it, or I'll shut you up FOR you. And how'd you remember my full name, Cameron Blake Parker?" you demanded. Cameron snorts. "You're soooo cool." he retorts. "The same as you dumbo. When we USED to be partners?" "Don't remind me." "Why?" "I told you, long story!" You take your phone and started texting Kathryn the 411. ~Cameron is jerk.~ you type. Of course, Cameron comes over. Curiousity had crept to him. "Are you texting about me?" he asks. "Oh admit it, Han. I KNOW I am irresistable, and you looooove me." He tries to grab your phone. You grip onto it. Hannah Amber Miller, the mighty. Ain't taking no as an answer. But on the other hand, Cameron had muscles a guy, and on the football team. He finally snatches it but it slipped and flew across the room and hit the wall. THUMP, CRZZZ... It broke into pieces and Mr. Horing came back in. "What is the MATTER with kids these days? I step out a few minutes, and the next thing you know..."
  8. "So what happened?" Mr. Horing asks. The grumpy principal was meager. "Ugh, I kindda broke Hannah's phone." Cameron says, taking the blame. Mr. Horing then announces, "Not texting. No speaking. You two are back here tomorrow." He leaves in the small notice. You turn to Cameron. "You didn't need to-" you began. "Whatever, Miller. I owe you a phone." he cuts you off. "Alrighty then." you mutter underneath your breath.
  9. Detention was finally over, and Mr. Horing released you two. "Where's the others?" he asks Mr. Horing, about his friends from football. "Oh, I dismissed you all at different times for a reason." He coughs and walks away. You walk right away from Cameron, without a goodbye. It wasn't rude, at least not to you. "Wait! Hannah!" Cameron calls. You stop walking, but didn't turn around. Finally, you turn back. "Hel-lo? Blondie? I don't have all day!" you say. "This is stupid. Listen, i don't like you or whatever, but I need help with math. Do NOT tell Jake about it, or he'll hate me forever." He says, and then looks you over. "I definitely don't wanna be caught with you." You smack him. But on the arm. "Hey!" he cries. "I have a lawyer!" You snort. He then grabs your wrist and take you outside. "I'll take that as a yes."
