Paranormal Love (part 39)

Hey guys, welcome to part 39 of my Paranormal Love series! I'm pretty busy, but I've made some time to write this after I've finished my homework. You're welcome! :)

Recap: Chris and Jace wake up for the first time after they've gotten stitches. You can actually feel the awkwardness in the lab. Chris and Jace hastily appologize to each other and Jace makes a split second desicion to leave and teleport to the front door. Chris doesn't agree with that and chases after him.

  1. ***Chris' P.O.V.*** "Jace, wait!" I said while I ran up to him and grabbed his wrist. Jace turned around. "What, Chris?" he said firmly. "Do you really want to live like this?" I asked. "What are you talking about?" Jace asked. I let go of his wrist. "Do you really want to be our enemy?" I questioned. "I am not your enemy, Chris. I want nothing to do with you or any one of your friends. It's _____ I want." Jace said. I felt a bit of anger build up inside of me. I wanted to scream; "Well you can't have her!" but I knew that would just start more conflict, so I kept my cool. "Why?" I asked as calmly as possible. Jace looked at me like I just asked the dumbest question in the history of the world. "Well why do you want her?" Jace asked, throwing the question back at me. "Why do I want her?" I repeated. "Look at her! She's beautiful inside out and the closest thing to perfect I've ever seen in my damn life!" I blurted. Jace stared at me for a second. "Exactly." he said. "Who wouldn't want a girl like that."
  2. "Well, good point. But she also happens to posess a certain power that could destroy all those obnoxious humans..." I said, trying to drag the truth out of Jace. Jace let out a loud sigh. "Seriously, Chris? You're still stuck on that?" Jace asked, annoyed. "Well, that has been your main goal for years, so it's easy to see why I think that." I replied. "Well, maybe I've changed." Jace shot back. "You? Changed? Puh-lease!" I scoffed. Jace glared at me. "Hey. With a girl like _____, it's possible. Would you give up your dream that you've had for years if it meant being with _____?" Jace replied. Damn. He had me. "Yes." I mumbled after a short pause. "But that's a big fat 'if'! It's not like _____ will automatically go for you if you chose to give up." I quickly added. "But that might help..." Jace said.
  3. "No. I want her." I stated, letting the words slip out exactly as they came up in my mind. S--- I probably just started world war III here. To my surprise Jace just calmly said; "Well, it's not up for you to decide. It's up to _____." As much as I didn't want to admit it, he was right. "Yeah. I guess only one of us can have her." I said. "Or neither of us... what about Bryan, Ethan, and Nick?" Jace replied. I bit my lip. "Well one out of the five of us will get lucky. Or perhaps none of us, because we all drive _____ crazy." I said. "You're right..." Jace replied. Did we just solve our conflict over _____ here?
  4. ***Your P.O.V.*** When Chris chased after Jace, you followed him right away and heard the whole conversation they just had. You wonder if they can make up now. You can't help but feel flattered that 5 insanely hot guys all have a thing for you. Chris and Jace did seem to understand the fact that it was up to you to choose, and you admired them for that. By now, you do have a guy in mind, don't you?
  5. You are peeking out the front door waiting for Chris or Jace to say something. You haven't been seen yet so you just keep watching. Then out of nowhere, someone grabs you from behind and covers your mouth. The first thing you do is scream, but it's not very loud because of the person's hand. It's loud enough to get the guys' attention though. Thier surprised facial expressions were the last thing you see before something super weird happens. Everything is black and you feel like you are falling, never to hit the ground.
  6. Before you can even register what has happened, you find yourself in a creepy room. The floor is made of cement and the walls are solid metal with stains that are either rust or dried blood... you can't tell. The only light in the room was a single, bare lightbulb hanging from the ceiling. It flickered every once in a while. There's still that person holding on to you with their hand over your mouth. They take it off and push you forcefully into the wall. You quickly put your hands in front of you to keep yourself from face-planting. "Okay, what the frick is going on here?" you think. It all happened so quickly, it almost felt like a dream. You turn around with your back against the wall to see who pushed you. All you can see is a shadow, you are about to ask who it is, but you get distracted when metal chains come out of the wall and wrap around your wrists and ankles. You struggle to get out, but you're no match for that metal. You are trapped. "No need to struggle, ____. It'll all be over soon enough." a voice says. A chill goes up your spine. This voice is all too familiar...
  7. "My God! Heidi?! Is that you?" you practically shout. The shadow steps into the light, revealing Heidi with an evil smile on her usually innocent-looking face. "The one and only, ____." she says. "Where am I and what the hell do you want?" you demand. Heidi steps closer to you. "Ask questions later. I still have a little business to take care of." she says. Before you can question any further, Heidi teleports out of the room.
  8. ***Jace's P.O.V.*** Chris and I were stunned. ____ just dissapeared into thin air with someone behind her! Chris looked at me with wide eyes, "What just hap-" He never got to finish his sentance because someone appeared behind him, covered his mouth, and in an instant both of them were gone. I swear to God, that person looked exactly like Heidi. I blinked because at first I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. The next thing I knew, I was grabbed from behind and a hand was placed forecfully over my mouth.
  9. ***Your P.O.V.*** You hear what sounds like people fighting. You wish you could see what was going on, but the darkness hides it all. You hear rattling of chains and it sounds like people are trying to talk, but they can't because they have tape over their mouth. Heidi then steps back into the light and looks directly at you. "Alright. Everything is taken care of." Heidi says. "Now, I bet you're wondering why you're here." "Damn right I am." you say. Heidi smiles. "Well, as you know, that filthy demon Slate has fired me a while ago. That was the biggest mistake of his life." Heidi begins. The start of her story gives you an uneasy feeling. "You also know that he wanted your power to destroy humanity... until his hormones got the best of him and he supposedly fell in 'love' with you." Heidi says the word 'love' like it's a horrible thing to say. You hear more muffled talking and rattling chains in the background. "You destroyed every last functioning brain cell that Slate ever had. Now he's worthless." Heidi continues. "When his mind was working properly, he did have quite a good idea for the fate of the world, but now he doesn't want that. So to get back at him, I'm going to carry out his plan by using your power to destroy the humans myself." Heidi looks smug.
  10. You aren't exactly sure what you are going to do now, but you decide not to give Heidi the satisfaction of looking afraid in front of her. "Out of curiousity, what are you going to do?" you ask calmly, like you weren't scared at all. "Glad you asked." Heidi says. "I'm going to drain all your blood and extract the magic from that. So not only will all the humans die, but you will too. A slow, painful death... and in front of those who love you the most." At this point, the muffled talking (which now sounds like yelling) and the chains rattling are really loud. Heidi flips on a switch, and light is brought to the wall across from the one that you're chained to. Your eyes widen. Chris, Jace, Bryan, Ethan, Nick, Anthony, and Allissa are all chained to the wall with duct tape over their mouths. They're all in their magical forms and they are fighthing to get out. It's bad enough that Heidi is messing with you, but THEM too? Oh HELL no! Your temper flares. "Heidi I swear to God, if I wasn't chained to this stupid wall right now I'd beat the living crap out of you!!!!" You yell. Heidi smiles and rolls her eyes. "Oooh, I'm scared." she scoffs. "You b----." you say under your breath. Heidi glares at you. "What was that?" she asks, stepping closer to you. She was begining to get in your face and that REALLY pisses you off. "You heard me, I called you a b----, which is probably the nicest word I could use to describe you." you blurt. Heidi slaps you. "It's going to be fun watching you die." she says.
  11. CLIFFHANGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, I didn't think my series would go over 40 parts, but at this rate, it looks like it. Oh well, I guess I'll use as many as I need. I'll try not to go over 50. Personally, I think writing fight scenes and conflicts is pretty fun, so I hope y'all enjoy reading them! To keep you guys posted, I wrote my essay today. My mom says it's really good. Wish me luck! :) One more thing, ignore the results. They're totally off! I hate how you have to write the results before the actual story cuz Paranormal Love tends to go whichever way my mind wants it to. So who do you like?
