There are no 'right answers' to these questions. Every child is different and has to be treated differently. Also, while I don't like spanking and would not actually do it, I agree that it is not child abuse.

I agree with soccarddb7, we are all messed up and do need to discaplin alot more. and by the way spanking is not wrong, like musicluver1991 said "Spanking is not child abuse as long as the child understands why they are getting a spanking" I agree!

i am a parent of three, a first grade teacher, a girlscout trope leader ,and have a degree in child therapy. i was also awarded the Good Parenting Award in my city one year. I took this quiz and it told me that am or would be a bad parent. This has offended me and I would like you to say that you are truly sorry through your site. Thank you.

Spanking is not child abuse as long as the child understands why they are getting a spanking. If the child understands that doing something wrong = spanking, then it is okay. If the child is too young and just thinks that you are trying to hurt them, it is wrong.
The problem with this quiz is that every child is going to be different. There is no "perfect way" to be a parent. You can't use those rules for every child. Sometimes you will have to be more strict and sometimes you will have to let things go. It is all about balance.
