Heartbreak:A high school love story romance

This story is about a young teenage girl who meets her first love,an handsome and sweet guy,and endures romance with him. She gradually begins to like him as they spend time together.

This is a tragic romance story that ends in the suffering of breakup in any relationships. It has a bittersweet sort of ending, the female lead learning to move on from her first love. It is pretty similar to one of the love stories I found online about breakup as well.

  1. I was sitting on the bench of the park, watching the beautiful sunset on the horizon in the distance. My notebook was on my lap,and the first page was open with my pen in it,but I could not concentrate. All I can think about now is him. The handsome, charming jock I once loved with all my heart, thinking he would never betray me or cheat on me with anyone else. I was so very wrong.
  2. The gentle, cool breeze brushed ever so slightly past my hair,as I stared into the distance solemnly. I adjusted my glasses above my head, recalling all the happy memories I had in the past, including my tragic love story.
  3. It was the first day of high school, and I was excited yet nervous at the same time. My thoughts raced through my mind as I walked slowly through the long corridors of high school, glancing around at the unfamiliar surroundings. What if the teacher doesn’t like me? What if my classmates make fun of me? In the end,I decided that I would be brave and overcome my fears. I inhaled a shaky breath and entered my new classroom.
  4. My teacher was a tall and skinny woman with red glasses and a friendly smile. She was pretty nice for most part, perhaps too nice,if I was being honest. We called her Mrs Maria.
  5. In English, everyone was assigned to a certain table with a partner. I was assigned to Table 3 with a cute guy who I assumed I would be working with. He had short, jet black hair, dreamy blue eyes with long, sexy eyelashes, lips suited for kissing, and other undeniably handsome features.
  6. “Hi,”I greeted, awkwardly playing with my school skirt. Around a handsome boy,I always felt quite inferior. “Hello and nice to meet you. My name is Sean, how about you?”He replied with a welcoming smile. He seems pretty friendly and not cocky like the stereotypical handsome school jocks,I thought to myself. “Oh,me? My name is Y/N,”I answered, genuinely surprised to be asked such a question. Usually,no one at middle school bothered to even ask about my name. Even my parents were abusive and mean. That was why I grew up with low self-esteem.
  7. After the English Project,we had recess. I managed to make friends with Sean and we chatted away about different things, like fashion shows, how well we were collaborating in class, and totally random things. It was real fun. I couldn’t help smiling as the whistle blew and we went to line up.
  8. After school,I prepared to pack my things and walk home by myself. My house was only a short distance away, and since I was only a loner in my new school,I figured I could do it alone. Like,I was so wrong. Barely halfway through my walk home,Sean suddenly came up to me. “Care if I join you?”He asked causally, grinning at me. “Of course,”I replied, happy that he was officially my friend now. Sean smiled. “Y/N,I have something to tell you,”He told me. “Go on,”I said, hoping he wasn’t about to break off our friendship that hardly lasted for 24 hours. “I like your hairstyle today. It’s beautiful, just like you are,”He complimented. I was taken aback. “My hairstyle?”I reached up my hand and touched my ordinary high ponytail. “Oh,it’s nothing special,”I chuckled shyly. “It’s special to me all the same, like you,”Sean praised. “Thank you,”I said politely. “Don’t be so humble. I really like your modesty though,”He said. I smiled and took his hand as we walked on home.
  9. Sean dropped me off at my house first(despite my “no thank yous”),then waved as he headed off to his house down the street. “See you tomorrow, babe!”He called. “See you too!”I called back. That night,I hardly slept at all due to excitement. I didn’t tell anything to my parents,as I knew it would only cause trouble and I would be forced to break up.
  10. The next day at school,we had the same routine. Me and Sean talked about even more silly stuff than the day before, and when I went home that night,I felt like it was the best day of my life. I was so happy.
  11. I never told my parents a word about our relationship, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I felt the most comfortable and loved when I was hanging out with Sean, who I considered my boyfriend. When it was finally time for summer vacation,we embraced and he promised me he wouldn’t forget me after summer break. I couldn’t help missing him all summer.
  12. When summer was finally over,I could hardly wait to get up in the morning and get ready for ninth grade. I so badly wanted to meet Sean and see his handsome face again, and feel safe wrapped in his muscular arms. I could still remember how he embraced me and his warm, beautiful smile whenever I was around.
  13. But after summer, everything changed. When I ran up to Sean in the corridors,he merely smiled at me coldly and turned away. “Sean!”I exclaimed, wrapping my arms around his waist in a tight embrace. “Y/N,what are you doing?”He asked, sounding confused though his tone was icy. “Don’t you remember me?”I asked, suddenly afraid for a moment. Sean laughed. “Of course I do! Come on now,sit down and let’s chat,”He said, sounding like himself again. I breathed our a sigh of relief as we talked about more stuff.
  14. On the second day of ninth grade,I felt more confident that Sean would confess. But I was not so certain yet. I walked up to Sean calmly when I met him in the corridors. “Hey babe, what’s up?”He asked, smiling. “I have something to tell you,”I said. “Make it quick. I have something to tell you to,and it may be a surprise,”Sean replied, looking eager. I rubbed my hands together in excitement. “Sean, you are the handsomest, bravest, smartest person I have ever met. I love you,”I confessed, crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. Sean’s excited face immediately dropped. “I have been thinking about this for a long time now since the start of summer vacation, but I have to tell you this now,”He admitted. “What is it?”I asked, having a feeling of anticipation. “I like someone else,”Sean said, his face cold and emotionless. I gasped. I was so shocked I had no idea what to do or say. I tried to not make out I was upset, but that didn’t work. Instead,I turned and ran down the corridors,my heart pounding as it shattered into millions of pieces.
  15. I never saw Sean again after that. Sometimes,I wondered who that someone else was. I felt jealous and swore to myself I would put that other girl in her place once I saw her. I never did. I was heartbroken, angry, and disappointed that all his love for me had turned out to be fake as he had genuine feelings for someone else. Someone better looking than me,perhaps. I closed my eyes at the memory and felt a single, salty tear roll down my cheeks. It was wet,and felt somewhat refreshing with the cool breeze. I didn’t wipe it,because there was no one else around to see me crying. I took one last look at the sunset, now almost halfway down the horizon. I smiled to myself as I picked up my notebook and pen, stuffed it in my bag,and left the park, happy to have moved on.
