Woohoo *stripper music* XD)
Knowing herself well enough to understand she never slept the first day in a new place, EJ stayed up all night, listening to music over the alarm radio and occasionally getting up to walk around her room. At one point, she left her room and walked around the center, but it was a bit too creepy at night. She settled into her pajamas and hummed the night away. -

Alex woke up early the next morning and got ready for work. Grabbing his bag of files he finished getting ready and headed for his car and then for his work. Once there he greeted the nurses and headed for the cafeteria for breakfast. -

Okie good~ You keep disappearing, so I was getting worried.
EJ stayed up all night listening to music and drawing. At about 7:30, she took a shower, then got dressed and ready for the day. She sported a BVB sweater-shirt-(thing) and a too-big jacket that said "420 Friendly" in bold green letters on the back, with the weed plant dotting the i. She put on deep blue tights and black ripped jeans over them. Pulling on her favorite Vans and checking her makeup, she headed downstairs for breakfast. -
Alex had a bagel in his hands and was reading the newspaper while sitting at a table by himself and drinking coffee. A patient sat next to him, a woman with black hair tied into a pony tail and clear blue eyes. She had scars up and down her arms and a slight twitch in her left eye. "Hiya Doc." She mused and put her chin in her hand.
"Morning Miss. Jean." He replied and took a drag from his coffee. "How are you feeling?" He asked with a tilted head. "I'm good.. Twitchy but good." She smiled and her teeth were yellowed from years of smoking cigerates. -
EJ quietly walked into the cafeteria. She looked around and saw the doctor from yesterday and another patient sitting at a table. She quickly turned away and found a place to make herself some tea. She took her cup and made her way to a back table.

They talked a little more before the woman got up and left. He relaxed back in his chair and sipped from his drink before standing up and walking out. He headed for the first room where a group of chairs where placed in a circle and he sat down at one while waiting for the others to walk in.

EJ sighed and downed the rest of her tea. She stared at the empty cup, not really thinking about anything but...emptiness.

People started to fill in slowly and he looked up at the usual people that filled his room. A small frown fell on his lips as he watched everyone settle themselves in. "Who are we missing..? Ah. The new girl." He sighed and rubbed his face.

She glanced down at her watch and sighed. "Time to be fashionably late..." She tossed the styrofoam cup in the trash and walked into the classroom right at the top of the hour. She slipped into an empty seat with a blank state and a bored posture.

"Morning guys." He said cheerfully and looked around the room. "Okay so we have someone new here.." He looked towards EJ and lifted an eyebrow. "Care to state your name and why you are here?"
Hush fell over the group as twelve pair of eyes fell on the new girl. Some looked bored, some pained, some slightly crazed. Each one of them had a different story and a different reason to be here. But what was hers? -
EJ raised an eyebrow right back and sighed. She got up and pretended to straighten her jacket before looking around the room. Remembering from speech class to wait until she had everyone's attention, she said, in a slightly sing-song voice (and to the tune of "I Am Not A Vampire" by Falling in Reverse) "Hi, my name is EJ; I'm an addict." She sat right back down. Her little "hint" was small and subtle enough to only be understood if you had heard the song. To others, it just seemed like she was being sarcastic. Win-win situation.

Alex narrowed his eyes as she showed off before the others. This was going to be a fun one. All the others echoed out calls of hellos and how do you dos. "Where did we leave off.. Ah. Allen. Tell us your story?"
A gangly looking man, about 43 looked around the room with bloodshot brown eyes. His cheeks where sunken in and he was skinny and tall with shaking hands. "Hi guys.. Umm I've been here awhile now and I was an alcoholic." He rubbed his hands together. "I ignored my family duties, lost my job, my wife, my home.." He frowned as if thinking. "And I've been sober for a month." -
EJ smiled graciously and nodded back at the people who had responded. She settled back in her seat and shrugged at Alex, a light smile playing on her lips. It quickly left as Allen stood up.
When Allen was speaking, she watched with interest, keeping a blank stare. Taking in everything, she inwardly smiled. Weed won over alcohol, and this was the result of the latter. After thinking a bit longer, she couldn't help wonder if his emaciated appearance was the result of living in the center. She tried to dismiss that idea. -
Allen sat down and another girl stood up. She looked to be about nineteen with her blonde hair pulled back into a pony tail and her blue eyes looked around the room, never settling on any face for long.
"I'm Alyssa.. And I started with Molly.. I craved the drug all the time until I couldn't move or ended up in the hospital where I would stop for a few days and start up again.. I snorted it or just took the pills." She rubbed her arms and frowned. "I've been sober for half a year." -
EJ stared at the girl. To go that far was a bit much, and something she could never imagine herself doing. She shifted a little uncomfortably and tried to focus on the differences between the two of them.
