Thread Topic: Weird things you do but you don't know why
I often catch myself holding myself (like when I ride in cars, I have one hand clenched around my other arm) for no particular reason. When I sleep, I do the same thing.
My hunch is that I do it due to my longing for someone to hold and/or to feel warmth of another human body.
I randomly shiver at times. I'm not cold. It's just a weird shake. And then it's gone. Does this seriously happen to anyone else??
That happens when i'm sleeping in class, but more like i'll randomly get massive spazz shakes.
I do get very subtle shakes in my whole body tho. I call them cold shakes because I get cold throughout my whole body for a brief second and shake before it ends and I get back to normal temperature. That hasn't happened for a couple of years actually, but happened all the time in elementary.
Luv myself ExperiencedSometimes I randomly find myself clearing my throats or making weird noises without even knowing it. Sometimes my friends point it out for me. I got in trouble in class for doing lip trills that I didn't even know I was doing. What could this mean?
I have a tendency to sleep in weird place my friend pointed out that I spent a night on the window sill then end up under there bed
I also walk with no sound
I hold my thumbs in the rest of my fingers like all the time
Sometimes I go cross eyed when im excited
@Luv I can only assume you do it subconsciously because in the back of your mind you need something to do almost all the time. If you have ADD or ADHD, my assumption is more likely to be correct.
@Hood Walk with no sound? You probably are just light weight.
As for the second thing, the human body can basically sleep on almost anything if tired enough. If you find yourself sleepy most of the day, this could be the case.
@Wolf No idea on those. Cool little quirks, tho.
Ha yeah I used to get them a lot in middle school, and now only occasionally.
I squeak sometimes
lmAO the crosseyed thing is p rare but the thumb thing is like all the time
Whenever I walk up stairs, mostly at home, I'll either clap or pat my thighs. Apparently my brother does it, too, we don't know why.
If I don't have something in my hands for a long time, I'll my thumb over my fingers. I always fiddle with my lanyard that I use for my keys and my school ID.
I'll run my thumb*
I clap a lot. I clap when I'm nervous or when I'm embarrassed or happy or anything. I just clap.
Jeeshan Hot Shotwhen i think, my jaw literally drops.
