| This quiz needs to better separate out social authoritarianism from economic authoritarianism. People falling in the lower left have ideals about social responsibility corporate and personal but there is not much in the way on the quiz about how that comes about. I am pretty sure if the questions about corporate responsibility and duty to your fellow man were asked and an option about how much government force was needed to achieve the these goals, there'd be almost nobody in the lower left quadrant - they'd turn into a cooler hipper dope smoking Stalin. The label "libertarian" does not apply to those that think loads of regulations need to be piled on business to make them behave responsibly or that we should all be dumped into government health care and contribute "responsibly" to federal social programmes at the point of a gun. I'm off there in the lower right so I think government should stay out of of my personal life and my business decisions. I do think business have social duties but think the free market will provide. Too much credit goes for thinking gay marriage should be legal and artificially makes those who'd like to take everything I have for social justice seem "moderate" Too much mingling of libertarian and libertine in my opinion. |
