Allright liberal children.....tell me how Obama was any more qualified than she was. If you think she was a bad choice and inexperienced; look at Obama's record as well. Sure he was appealing to women, but she also is very smart. None of you are governors or candidates, and you only listen to the press to get your opinion on her.

| Sarah Palin is smart? Is this the same Sarah Palin that couldn't name a single newspaper she read and thought living near Russia gave her foreign policy experience? The only reason Godfather thinks she's smart is because he agrees with her- that and his own intelligence is sorely lacking. | |

Actually, considering you think a Governor wasn't smart is quite amusing. And comparing her to Obama- she had more government experience! And she was a vice candidate! Obama spent 1 1/2 of his 3 years in congress running for president! Palin was in government longer. Clearly, you get your news from Jon Stewart, and trust it. I don't call Obama a drug addict for chain smoking in college so......

I will concede that perhaps Barack Obama was not properly qualified to be president- I think that's becoming increasingly clear throughout his presidency. I still say he's better than Hillary Clinton and John McCain. Lack of experience is a liability, but having experience is not always an asset. Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld had experience up the wazoo, and that was a nightmare for us. It doesn't matter what kind of experience you have if your ideas are bad and your governing style borders on tyrannical. Objectively speaking, though, Obama does have more governmental experience than Palin. Obama was a member of the Illinios State Legislature beginning in 1996. Palin was the mayor of a town of only 5,000 people, and was only governor of Alaska for a year and half when she ran with McCain, a position where she governed less people than the mayors of 19 American cities. And frankly, the experience argument is outdated, because Obama does have experience running the country.

Well of course he does-that goes without say-he's the president. You need to check your sources. Palin was Governor for well over a year and a half. Let's see take a look also at what Obama did in congress. He voted "present" over 1,000 times when giving a decision making opportunity-his JOB, in congress. This means when given a bill to vote on, he said "I'm here, but I don't have an opinion." Although he was in congress for a tough (sarcastically) 3 years, he did not do anything to credit him for a president. And his previous experience, was a community organizer in Chicago. |
