Thread Topic: There's a big problem here
-
bouncebakk NewbiePeople are misusing the forums and the biggest problem with it is that I've had numerous accounts be banned because I was "trolling". I was simply using the forum for it's actual purpose of discussing things. I was stating my opinions and every one of my accounts has been deleted or every post has been marked. It kind of disgusts me that I'm unable to post my opinions on here. I have a right of free speech because I'm an American citizen. I don't know what the laws for that in other countries other users might live in. But I find it extremely unfair. I use the forums as they say. This isn't it though. I'll continue this thread with another post in a minute or two
-
bouncebakk NewbieI frequent the lounge and at the top it clearly says what it's to be used for
"This forum is for the odd interest or topic that doesn't quite fit anywhere else. From zombies to pirates to whatever else strikes you fancy, discuss it here."
People have "official threads" where they basically s--- post. To sum it up they are the ones breaking the rules and the fact that I'm the one being targeted for speaking my mind. Even if it is offensive to someone that doesn't mean it will be to someone else. If it is just ignore it and turn your computer off. There's gonna be people who say stuff you don't like, on the internet and in person.
The same thing is on other forums too.
The Study and The Front porch have these "user above you threads" that isn't a discussion.
This is a QUIZ website and people are s--- posting the most random s---.
My Rights have been violated and I demand change. -
bouncebakk NewbieI say the mods need changed. Most of them have left and there's only like 3 active mods left.
I say pick them more differently next time and to have variety. We need people who are in charge with different mindsets.
Nobody even thinks about this. The mods have been breaking the rules too for the longest time and nobody has said anything.
This is really unfair -
I have only marked a few posts offensive since I came back to the forums, and only because they violated the forum rules. There was a post using the n word and one post on my thread in the Kitchen where the user had a sexual picture. And I think the last thing I marked offensive was a post wishing death on homosexuals.
I don't know what you posted, but I take free speech seriously. Even when there are posts I find distasteful on here, I never mark offensive what doesn't break the forum rules. -
it is my right as an american to support the killing of other americans, nothing wrong with it
-
if your post was marked it's because it broke the forum rules
trust me, the last thing us mods want is to deal with a bunch of users on our asses about mod abuse
we mark things carefully and only mark them if they break the rules
we put up with a lot of s--- that walks the line because we are so careful with marking. no one is out to get you or your free speech
stop trying to start something, the whole mod abuse craze faded out a long time ago. you're a little late to the game buddy -
not my faults the modd abuse

Since when is "s--- posting" breaking any of our forum rules? The only thing that ranting, venting, or talking to yourself comes close to would be this rule:
4. Do not post any spam.
Even if it is offensive to someone that doesn't mean it will be to someone else.
Some people are okay with the n-word, or the f-word, and even the r-word. There are even people who laugh at jokes involving rape, slurs, and what falls under "dark humor." That does not justify you using it, especially if it is used in a derogatory way. That breaks these forum rules:
1. Do not harass, insult, or attempt to embarrass another person.
8. No racism or hate speech.
The Study and The Front porch have these "user above you threads" that isn't a discussion.
I will agree that the amount of user above you threads is growing in a grotesque manner, but until we get a "Forum Games" forum, those threads do have a right to be there. After all, they were created in those respective forums because the topic matched whatever that forum's main topic is. -
I say the mods need changed. Most of them have left and there's only like 3 active mods left.
There is a moderator forum that cannot be accessed by the public eye, and we have made group chats off-site to discuss what happens from time to time. Just because we don't post conversationally does not mean we do not exist.
We need people who are in charge with different mindsets.
Have you met any of the mods? Do you have any idea how drastically different each one of us are? All I can say is yikes. -
I don't know who got you enough "offensive marks" for your account to be deleted, but we don't have anything against actual discussion. If you were being called a troll, you probably could've presented your ideas in a better manner.
The official threads are mainly so people don't go around making a billion "s---post" threads. Isn't that nicer, at least?
And while the user above you threads might not be all that greta, they don't really have a place so they go in whatever forum has the most similar topic, like what Dark22978 said.
State your opinions if you want, just don't be disrespectful about it, what others think about those opinions or their opinions and you'll be fine. -
bouncebakk NewbieLmfao ok
-
I haven't seen you say much except stuff like "i banged your mom." and that type of stuff. You are probably getting your accounts banned for a reason. just saying.
-
What were your other accounts?
