Thread Topic: WHAT IS HE TRYING TO SAY? (REALLY LONG)

  So I've known this guy for a looong time, since he was seven or eight and I was six. We saw each other for about two months every year for about three years, then we didn't see each other for four more years.
  
  
  We finally re-met last year and have been in several plays together at a local children/teens' theater since. In the most recent play he was acting differently than he usually would backstage. He would lean on me and get really close to my face when we were talking (Looking me in the eyes), play with my hair, tease me to no end, give me hugs if he accidently hit me, and if we were sitting next to each other and our legs were touching, neither one of us would bother to move. The last day of the play, though, he totally ignored me and payed all his attention to one of my friends. That was three months ago. After that production, we didn't really see each other.
  
  
  We met again recently at a large end-of-year swim meet. He's on a different team than me, but he was just sitting there with a book, looking bored. I went and stuck up a conversation with him, we easily talked about anything and everything, it was very comfortable. We talked for a long, long time. I said I'd cheer him on, and when he was going up to the block for his butterfly and saw me, he gave me a really big smile and a high-five. Then he came immediately came to me after he swam and asked what his time was, cause he didn't see. When he had to go he said, "Well...I'll see you tomorrow if we happen to bump into each other." (it was a two day swim meet)
  
  
  The next day, he totally ignored me. He walked by me several times and didn't even glance at me. At one point, I thought I saw him looking at me from afar, but it might've been my imagination. Even when I said goodbye as he walked by me, he ignored me. He was acting all irreproachable.
  
  
  He always does this. Paying a ton of attention to me one day, and ignoring me the next. Am I just overanalyzing the time we spend together? (I'm not sure if this is important, but I'm fourteen and he's fifteen) What is he trying to say? Does he hate me or what?

  wow... thats like reverse for my dating life, lol. im doin that to the girl i like because (apparently at my age) were not supposed to be dating (im 14 and shes 15)

  What the! This is TOO long! I can't read all of that! If people are gonna type long things, you have to make people be interested.

  Lol, well he's giving you mixed signals so it's hard to know. I think you should talk to him about this and tell him how you feel. I hope things go well!

  My word, look I haven't the slightest clue whether he likes you or not but the best thing to do is just ask the guy, but if you don't like him that much, just....forget about it and go on with your life

  Hey im going through something similar, at my school this guys friends and ex GF tell me that he likes me. But lets get to your prob, I think you should start a convo about some cute guy that you saw and see how he reacts and at the right time say "theres a rumor going on that you like me... is that true? please tell me the truth i dont care if you do." and maybe he will say he does like you but you have to know if hes honest enough to say yes or no in a scared way. gope this helps, its a little long but... ya
