"But somewhere along the journey Lance is said to die..." She muttered to herself. The brown she wolf stared at the artifact, ominously laying on the cave's stone floor. It seemed to be trying to suggest that it was nothing more than an ordinary bone, which it certainly wasn't.

This is the third installment of the Wolves of Memoria series. Thanks for getting this far with me!! Special shout outs to: Angel Fox, Wolf_Heart, Omegy, Finchy, and everyone else who made a character or read these stories.

  1. "...your son will die." Aurora growled, shaking her head. She refused to believe that her son was doomed to a fated demise. Whitebone continued. "I have also seen the destruction of your pack. But you can stop it if you bring the ancient artifact to Mt. Blood an destroy it." Aurora slowly nodded. "Then that is what I will do."
  2. The flight back was a quiet one, neither wolf wanted to talk about what the elder had said. When they landed, the alpha quickly walked away to discuss the elder's words with Ink. Afterwords, Aurora stepped to the Alpha's Rock and called "All wolves gather here! I have an important question!"
  3. Her voice filled the cave, and all the pack members kept their eyes trained on the wise she-wolf. " The Elder has brought upon us a journey. One that will take many bold souls and true spirits. We must take the artifact to Mt. Blood and destroy it, to stop the Ink Hound forces." Many gasps rose from the wolves below. "I will need three, in addition to myself, Ink, and Lance." Aurora barked.
  4. Arrow, the large less wolf, stepped forward. "I volunteer!" He barked. Rads the smaller less wolf, also stepped forward. In a shaking voice, he said "I...also volunteer." Aurora smiled gratefully at them both. Amagar stepped forward as well, but was jumped in front of by Topaz, a frisky full wolf. She smiled, fanning out her sunset-shaded wings, and said in a sure voice, "I also volunteer." With another smile, Aurora walks towards the Alpha's den. "You three, come with me."
  5. Arrow, the large less wolf, stepped forward. "I volunteer!" He barked. Redd, the smaller less wolf, also stepped forward.
  6. In the Alpha's Den, Aurora sat in front of her five companions, the artifact at her paws. It was a long, slender bone. The bone was said to be part of the wolves ancestors, passed down through generations. It's flawless ivory appearance made it strikingly beautiful and mysteriously eery at the same time. "We will leave in the morning. We will take nothing but the artifact, understood?" When the five nodded, she stood and dismissed them.
  7. Aurora sat down to think. It was a two day's flight to the mountain, they would have to spend a night in the forest. After that, they would need to climb Mt. Blood. The constant Ink Hound patrols made flying too risky. The top was said to hold an altar, where instructions for destroying the bone were held.
  8. "But somewhere along the journey Lance is said to die..." She muttered to herself. The brown she wolf stared at the artifact, ominously laying on the cave's stone floor. It seemed to be trying to suggest that it was nothing more than an ordinary bone, which it certainly wasn't.
  9. Aurora finally slipped into sleep, but her rest was short and fitted with nightmares. She saw Ink and Arrow fighting Ink Hounds, and losing. She tried to run, but then saw Topaz, she was bleeding, and Redd stood over her, a panicked look on his face. She turned, just in time to see Lance falling, his eyes blank and dead. She woke up with a scream, panting hard.
  10. Amagar watched as a dark brown shape shot outside. He thought about following her, but he knew she preferred to be alone in times like this. For, now, he would focus on protecting the pack. Keeping them together.
