  1. "What about this one? It's in great shape, and I'll give it to you for a cheap price." You stare at the silver Dodge Shadow, and your nose crinkle in distaste of the color. "Got it in black?" You ask, and you hear your dad huff out a sigh. You can't help that you're so picky. The salesman's patience was beginning to wear thin, but nevertheless he nods, and gives you a weary smile. He was nearly as old as your dad, with greasy black hair, that was slicked back with gel. He's wearing a grey suit, and brown loafers. You three come across a couple of more cars before you finally see a black Dodge Shadow. "How much?" Your dad asks, scratching his head. "A thousand," The salesman says and you look at him in surprise. "What's wrong with it?" You ask. Something had to be, for such a cheap price. The salesman gives you a confused look and you're dad gives you a different one. One that you assumed says, 'Keep-quiet-and-don't-mess-this-up.' You hold your hands up in surrender as your dad hands the salesman the money and they go inside to fill in paperwork. "Here are the keys if you want to pull it out front," the man says and he tosses you the keys, and you catch them swiftly. You open the drivers door carefully, and you get in with ease. The seats were grey leather, and it had that new car smell that you have always hated. You close the door and take a look around. The radio is up to date, and has to spinning dials, one for the volume, one for the station. It felt good to be in a car again. You start the car with ease, and put the gear shift into drive. You gently put your right hand down on the gas pedal. You turn the steering wheel to the left and you drive to the front of the dealership. You put the car into park and turn it off. You adjust the seat to your liking, and impatiently wait for your dad. When he comes back out, he gets in the passenger seat and puts on his seatbelt immediately. "Well?" You ask and he gives you a look before handing you the paper that proves that you own the car. "Thank you so much, again, Dad!" You yell and he smiles. "Yeah, yeah. You're welcome, hon." You drive you both back to your dads house and you park semi perfectly in the drive way, right by his SUV. You, once again, put it in park and kill the engine and you both step out. "I'll see you soon, than?" Your dad says and you nod, giving him a hug. "Thanks again," You say and he nods, smiling.
  2. You teleport to HQ quickly, and you see Nakia sitting on your bed. "How'd it go?" she asks, a smile on her face. Her dark hair is straightened today, and she's wearing black eyeliner on her waterline, giving her green eyes more definition. "It went great," You say, plopping on the bed beside her. "Yeah? What car did you get?" "A black Dodge Shadow," You say. "Too bad I couldn't drive it here." She nods. "Right, right. Now, when are you going to teach me?" She has the look of excitement on her face and it makes you laugh. "Someone's eager. I'll teach you whenever I can, my schedules a tad busy this week." You say, winking at her. "Oh? And is it too busy that you can't join me and our wonderful boyfriends for lunch right now?" You put finger on your chin and pretend like you're thinking. "Hm, ya' know, I don't know. But, I can make room." You say and she bursts into a fit of giggles, and grabs your hand. "Alright, let's go than!" You follow her down through the twists and turns of the hallways until you get to the cafeteria. Needless to say, you were starving. "Who's watching Abel?" You wonder aloud. You notice {______} and Atreyu at a nearby table. "The twins," Nakia responds and you nod. You two get to the table quickly and you sit across from {_______} and Atreyu. You don't think it's a coincidence that it was just you, Nakia Jae, {_______} and Atreyu were just having lunch, and no one else in your group of friends was joining. Not that you were complaining. They both stood up to hug you and her, and you all go get something to eat. You pick out a decent looking sandwich, and a small bag of chips and you head back to the table and wait for the rest. Once they sit down you begin to dig in, and you're the first one done. It doesn't bother you anymore, eating in front of boys, or anyone in particular. You've done it enough times that you just got used to it. You get up and get a drink, and drink it quickly, and throw away your trash. {_______} had a small bag of grapes on his plate, and he began to throw them at unsuspecting people, and it was hard to cover up your laughter whenever they look your way. "Come on, ________. Let's go get some more," Nakia Jae says and you nod in agreement, standing up and walking to the salad bar to get some more. While walking up there, Nakia makes sure you're out of hearing distance to ask, "How's your shoulder?" "Still hurts like a mother," You say and she gives you a sympathetic look. "Are you sure you don't want to tell Raven about this?" She whispers and you nod, sighing. "I'm sure, Jae. It'll go away eventually." She gives you a sarcastic look. "Yeah, that's what you were told months ago." You grab a bag of grapes and you head back to the table, and Nakia follows. {________} opens his mouth, signalling for you to throw the grapes into it. You aim and start throwing them, and to your surprise, they actually make it into his mouth. Not everytime, but just about close. You laugh as he misses another and he fake pouts. "You know, you really hurt my feelings when you laugh at me," He says, and you cover your mouth. "I'm not laughing AT you, I'm laughing WITH you." You retort, and his eyes crinkle as he laughs.
  3. After lunch, the four of you begin to walk around and somewhere along the twists of turns of the hallways and connected corridors you lose Nakia and Atreyu, which the more you think about it, they probably ran off on purpose. You had your finger's entwined with {_______}'s and you both were really quiet. It was starting to become awkward, and you don't know what to say. Suddenly he turns to you, and opens his mouth, than closes it again, as if he were second guessing what he was going to say, or choosing better words. You contemplate reading his mind, but you know that would not be fair to him. You wanted to hear what he had to say, without having to read his mind. A couple of seconds go by, and you give him an expecting look. "Okay, uh." His hand went to the back of his neck and you don't know whether to be anxious at his nervousness or think of it as cute. "You know that if there's anything you need, you can tell me right? Like, um, if you just need someone to talk to, no matter what I'll listen, even if I don't understand or I think you're totally crazy. You're my girlfriend, and my friend and I just want to be there for you, and I haven't been lately, and I'm sorry." He says it all in a big rush and your stomach tugs at your heart. You smile, and realize you both have stopped walking. "And I'll always be here for you," You reply, in full honesty and you put both hands on the side of his face, and give him a short, gentle kiss. Your arms go around his waist and his arms rest at your shoulder, and his chin rests on your head. You take in the comforting smell of his cologne and you try not to bury your face deeper into his chest. If only you could freeze this moment, take a picture of it, and keep it always. You were glad you chose {_______}. It just felt so right whenever you were with him. You never had to try to impress him, he accepted you for you. After what seems like forever, though forever was too short, you both pull back and he smiles. "How about we go hang out in my room?" He suggests and you nod. "Sure." The walk back to his room was long, but you don't mind the wait as long as you're with him. You take in the pictures on the wall, the writings that people have placed, the drawings. You wonder if Raven allows this or if some people just get away with it. You enjoy the distraction and before you know it, you're slowing down, and {_______} pulls out a small key that looks similar to yours and he unlocks his door. You both walk in and he shuts the door. You take in the scent of the room, cologne and boy. It wasn't all that bad, as long as it didn't smell like body odor. You about gag at the thought. You rarely ever go to {_______}'s room, but whenever you do you love it. You two always end up having so much fun in here. You either watch movies, play game or take silly pictures. Your walls are lined with photos of you and him. You settle yourself in the bed and he joins you and picks up two controllers, and hands one to you. You fight a grin as he turns on the T.V and within seconds you two are playing Halo, trying to kill each other. You two were so competitive with each other when it comes to this game, it wasn't even funny. Expect, it kinda was. You quickly start looking for a weapon to use, and find a good hiding spot as {_______} begins to search for you. Throughout the game, you end up laying with your head in his lap, and he was leaning back against his headboard. You writhe and yell out a couple times when he finds you and starts shooting. "Stop peaking at my screen!" You yell, laughing a little. "I'm not, you cheater! You're looking at mine!" You feel him sit up and the game pauses. You glance up at him in confusion, and his face is only inches away. Your heart feels as if it has stopped beating, and your breathing hitches, in a good way. His nose brushes against your chin as he connects his lips to yours and a zap of electricity flows through your veins. You're out of breath, and dizzy for moments, not having experienced this feeling before. You pull away quickly, slightly shocked.
  4. "What is it? Did I do something wrong?" {______} asks and you frown. What could he have done? "No, no." You say quickly. You were struck with this need to kiss him again, which is normal. You inch closer to him, feeling as if this was the first time you two have ever kissed, but it was far from. You can't help your self anymore, you let your lips find his again, and you begin to kiss. This feeling goes through you, this burning passion, as cliche as it sounds. It was no longer a want, it was a need. You felt like you might die if you couldn't be as close to him as possible? 'Oh god,' You think in a haze. 'Am I getting clingy?' His hands were on your sides, pulling you closer until you were on his lap. Your hands begin to tangle in his hair. You felt hot, like someone had turned off off the air vents in the room and it was 108 degrees. You and {______} pull away from each other with a smacking sound from you your lips pulling away from each other. Zaine stands in the doorway, his face bright red from just walking in on you guys. "Not to interrupt," he begins and you resist muttering out a 'too late for that.' "But, I think you guys should come see this." You both get off the bed, and begin to follow Zaine. You see many people walking in the direction you guys were going, which is very rare. Most people here just stay in their rooms, or they're off doing things for Raven or for themselves. You wonder what must be going on. You realize that you're going the way you would for the cafeteria. Oh god, was Nakia getting in ANOTHER fight? She vowed to stop after she had Abel! Hundreds of thoughts race through your mind and you start walking faster, pulling {_______} along with you. All the passion from earlier, leaves you feeling empty and numb. You ignore the feeling, as you come closer to the cafeteria doors. You burst through, and fight through the big crowd of people. "Excuse me!" You yell over the chatter of so many people. "Hello! Move!" You say, annoyed. Just because you live here, didn't mean you always had to be nice to these people. You barely recognize their faces. You look back, and notice you lost {_______} somewhere in the crowd. You feel bad, but you continue moving. "Excuse me, coming through!" You yell, pushing people out of your way. God, they really need to make this place bigger! You finally stumble through the end of the crowd and your eyes begin to roam, looking for whatever it was that everyone was making such a big deal about. Your eyes fall on something very out of place. You can't name it at first, but the closer you look, the clearer it got. She was wearing a bright, white, dress that came down to her knee's. Her legs were very pale, almost like a dolls. They were thin, and you could see the bones of her kneecaps. She had snow white hair, that almost looks silver and you think for a moment, that this woman might be an elderly. But, what would an elderly be doing here? She turns, and you notice a plate in white hands. Her arms are covered in white lace, that was connected to her stunning bright dress. Her hair is straight, and you can see the outlines of her pointy ears. When your eyes finally settled on her face, you lost your breath. She was so beautiful, just like Colette. Colette lit up like a fire whenever you look at her, but this girl. She was cold, almost in a cruel, beautiful way. You stare at her, stunned. Her eyes catch yours and you cannot tell the color of them from here. A smile begins to form on her face, making her even more lovely, and she holds up her hand, and gestures you to come over to you. You look around, making sure she was really gesturing you. You look back at her and she nods, the sweetest grin on her face. You start to stumble forwards, feeling the same feeling you had when you first met Colette. 'Is she a Nyxus?' you wonder. Chances are, she was. She matched the description Colette gave you, for 'the image of ice.' Once your just steps in front of her, she drops her food onto the table she was beside, and you catch a glimpse of her eyes. They were a deep shade of turquoise blue, kind of like Raven's. The only difference Raven holds all of her mystery in her beautiful blue eyes, this Nyxus holds all of her hint of danger into hers. She wraps her hands around you, and draws you closer to her. Her skin is cold, and it gives you chills, but nevertheless you hug back, more confused than ever. "You are _________, yes?" She asks, in a cold, light voice. You nod. "Do I know you?" You ask, and she laughs, shaking her head. "No, silly. My name is Maeve. It's nice to finally meet you. She was very right, you're very pretty!" You laugh nervously and frown a bit again. "Who told you that?" You say slowly, kind of embarrassed. "Colette, of course! She's told me so many things about you!" she says and hugs you again.
  5. You stop laughing, and you're no longer smiling. If she knew Colette, than.. You felt sick, your stomach begins to twist and flop. You hear the crowd begin to hush, and you notice Raven walking to you both. She greets you with a smile and you manage one back. "It's so great to see you introducing yourself to our newest addition, _______." She says, and you nod, walking back to the crowd. The whole cafeteria is so quiet you could hear a pin drop as Raven begins to speak. "Everyone, I would like to introduce you to Maeve. She's not used to these kinds of places so make sure she feels welcome." Nobody questions Raven, nobody really ever does. You feel a hand go around your waist and you jump, turning to face {________}. "Jesus, you scared me!" You say, and she gives you a tiny smile. "Sorry, babe." he says and you lean into his arm. He glances over at Maeve, who has now began eating, though you notice her nose scrunch up in disgust and she quickly throws away the food. You frown, and follow the crowd as it begins to part. You are aware of the heat {_______}'s arm against your waist and you enjoy the feeling. Nakia and Lilah quickly catch up to you two. "What was all that about?" She asks you, and you frown, looking at her from the corner of your eyes. "What do you mean?" You ask, and she gives you a look of surprise. "I'll tell you later," she says and moves away and you look at Syl who shrugs. You sigh, and put one of your hands in {________}'s back pocket. "__________!" You hear Raven call and both you and {_______} turn to greet her. "Yes?" You ask, staring at her. Everytime she spoke, you felt as if you wanted her to keep speaking, her voice was just that beautiful. Maybe she herself, was a Nyxus. "We're short on rooms at the moment, you wouldn't mind if Maeve stayed in your room with you and Renee would you?" Your shoulders threaten to slouch and you quickly hold them in place and smile, shaking your head. "Not at all, come with me and {_______}, we'll show you where it is." You say, and she nods, following you two. "Maeve, this is {________}, my boyfriend." You say, and she smiles at the two of you. "I can tell, your love for each other is obvious," She says and you blush. You fight a smile, and keep on walking. "Who is Renee?" she asks, and you look up, from the ground. "She's my little sister." She looks over with curious eyes, and keeps up with your fast pace. It's {_______}'s fault, he has such long legs. You are used to it by now. Maeve doesn't even have to try much to keep up, she walks as if she is walking on air. "How old?" "11." You reply, and you stop in front of your door, which you and Nakia and Lilah painted a rainbow of tye-dye swirls on it. You pull out your key and she eyes it, with confusion. "This is the key to unlock the door, you can use mine when I'm gone or I'm sure Raven will give you another one," You explain and she nods. "So, Maeve, how old are you?" {_______} asks and she laughs. "I am old," she says, and he gives her a strange look. "I am immortal," she explains and he nods, still a bit confused. That was something new. Colette hadn't mentioned that.
  6. You open the door and you three walk in. "Uh," you say trying to think. "You can sit on my bed," You say, pointing to yours. "And you can sleep there tonight, if you'd like, being new and all." She frowns, shaking her head. "Than where will you lay?" She asks, and you shrug. "I can always share a bed with Renee, she's small enough," You reply and she nods. "I hate to leave you alone, right now. Being new and all," You say, swallowing. "But, hey, you don't have to stay in here. If you want you can go roam around, get to know some people." She shakes her head. "I'm quite fine being in here," she says and you nod. "Ookay," You reply. "If my sister comes in, just tell her I'm in {_______}'s room," You reply and she nods. Before you walk out, she says, "Wait!" You turn around. "Yes?" "Will you be back before nightfall?" She asks and you frown, not sure why it matters. "Uh, sure." You say and you walk out and {_______} starts to laugh a bit. You frown up at him, and keep up with his long strides. "What's so funny?" You ask. He shakes his head, trying to get himself in control. "Nothing, just, you trust her to be alone in your room?" He asks, and you shrug. "It's not like I have a choice, I mean, until she get more rooms finished, there's not much any of us can do." You say, and once again you're in his room. You both lay down in the bed, and he pulls a blanket over you both. You frown at him, showing your confusion. "Relax," he says. "This is me relaxing," You retort and he smiles. You wrap an arm around him, and he rests his forehead against yours. You sigh, tired. You couldn't get to sleep last night, like always. "You know," {________} says in a low voice, and your eyes threaten to close. "I always wonder what it's like inside your head. What you're thinking, and what you're feeling. It must be hard, hearing so many strange voices in your head at once." You glance up at him, lazily and he's staring right back at you. "To feel like the whole world you've ever known is gone, and the new once you were forced into is counting on you, even now. We're counting on you, babe. I'm counting on you." "What for?" You murmur, suddenly overwhelmed with this exhaustion. "To choose the right side." He whispers, and you're suddenly too tired to reply. Your head somehow finds his shoulder, and his cheek is pressed against yours. Moment's later, you're in a world of black.
  7. When you wake up, you can't see a thing. Darkness surrounds you, and you can hear faint snores coming from someone beside you. You frown for a moment, than you remember. Maeve arriving, and falling asleep with {_______}. You slowly, and gently pull yourself out of his arms. With what little light you could see with, you find his forehead and kiss it gently. You walk out, shutting the door as quiet as you could. The hallways are deserted, as always. You feel your pockets for your phone and you pull it out, checking the time. It was nearly midnight. You guys slept forever. You walk quickly to your room, tired, and dry mouthed. You are sure your hair was a mess, and you looked terrible, but you can't care less at the moment. When you walk into your room, you close the door and lock it. "It's about time!" A voice says, making you jump and turn around. Maeve is sitting on your bed, wearing exactly what she was earlier. "Yeck!" she exclaims taking you in. "You can't go out looking like that!" You frown, trying to process what she was saying. "Come again?" You ask. You are NOT going out tonight. You are going to sleep! She gives you a look of amusement and she heads to your dresser. You blink a few times, before looking at the rest of the room. "Where's my sister?" You ask, frowning. "Oh, the little one who was in here earlier? She told me she was staying with that werewolf friend of yours, you know the one with the baby?" You don't question anything about it, but you feel bad about not telling anyone you were in {______}'s room. She begins to look through your clothes, seeing nothing she likes in there, and moves on to the closet. "Oh!" She exclaims, holding out a blue dress with black crosses over it. The front comes up above your knee's and the back of it went down to just above your ankles. It had no sleeves, but only two finger length straps that went over your shoulders. "This is just, beautiful! Put it on!" She says, happy with herself. You look at her like she was on crack. "Oh, don't be scared! I won't look," She says, and goes back to the closet to search for shoes. You grumble, and begin to take off your clothes. You quickly put on the dress, and she turns around. She has a wide grin on her face, and she sets down a pair of black leather ankle boots. You take off your original shoes and pull those on. Maeve grabs your hand and begins to lead you to the bathroom. She runs a brush through your hair and you begin to fidget. "I can brush my own hair, you know." You say, and she laughs a bit. "I know, silly! I just enjoy doing people's hair, especially someone as beautiful as you." Your face heats up, and you look down at your knees. Once she's done brushing your hair, she pulls it over your shoulder and puts it in a pony tail. She heats up your straightener, and she begins to look around for your makeup. "It's in the blue bag right there," You say, pointing to it. She nods to you and begins to apply make up. Everytime you try to look in the mirror, she blocks your view. "You better not be making me look horrible!" You warn. She gives you a smirk. "Relax, child. You look beautiful." she replies, and you slightly pout. "Where are we going anyways?" You ask, wishing for nothing more than to just go back to sleep. "We, my dear friend, are going to a party." You begin to laugh, as she starts to curl a strand of your hair, on the right side of your cheek, that she left out. "Stop laughing, you're going to mess me up!" She says and you begin to sober up. "No really," You say. "Where are we going?" She rolls her eyes slightly. "Alright!" she says, not bothering to answer you. "Look!"
  8. You do as you're told, and you stand up and face the mirror. You're immediately shocked. It seems as if the girl staring back was some new improved version of yourself. The makeup around your eyes has made the blue pop out more. Your hair looks exceptionally cute with it's style, and you love your outfit. "Wow!" You breathe and Maeve giggles. "I know right?" She beams and you turn to her. You walk back into your room and think of what to do next. "You have a car, yes?" She asks and you frown at her, nodding slightly. "Yeah, but why would you want to know?" You ask and she gives you a sly smile. "You're going to drive us." she says simply and you give her a suspicious look. "I don't know if I like where this is going," You confess and she rolls your eyes and smiles again. "Don't be such a scardy! I'll give you the directions!" She says and you sigh. You might as well see where you were going, she got you dolled up, and you didn't really want to waste makeup.. You groan and grab onto her cold, pale hand. You teleport to your dads, without warning her and when you two appear in the driveway, you put your hands up to your lips. Your dad was no doubt sleeping and you weren't really sure how you were supposed to explain this one. You point to the passenger door before you go to the drivers side. You get in and wait for her to get in before you start your car. It isn't too loud, and you slowly begin to pull out. "It isn't very far from here," Maeve explains. "In fact, we'll be walking more than driving." You give her a look but quickly turn your attention back to the road. She begins to lead you out of town before telling you to pull over, about ten miles out. "Dude, where ever the hell this 'party' is at," You tell her, using quotation marks with your hands as you say "party". "I better not forget where I parked my car." You finish and she laughs. "Do not worry, I have great memory." She says and you grumble a, "I wouldn't doubt it." You both get out, and you take your keys with you, just in case someone doesn't come along and try to steal your car. You notice you're the only car parked out here, and you give Maeve another suspicious look. "If this is a party, how come I'm the only car out here?" She still wears her smile, and looks ahead. She ignores you and you huff out, crossing your arms. "This better not be another step up. 'Cause I'm telling you now, I'll teleport right out of there if I notice anything out of place." You warn and her smile grows wider. You two eventually enter a small strip of woods, and you are beginning to get chills, despite the humid air. You step on loose twigs that crack and break under your feet and you wince every time, expecting something to pop out. You could say you were a bit paranoid. You held your car key in between your pointer finger and your middle finger, just in case you had to use it as a weapon. You could faintly begin to hear the sound of music, though you weren't able to make out any lyrics. Your stomach begins to twist and it gives you an uneasy feeling. You try to keep up with Maeve, not sure whether to be more paranoid or relieved that she knew where she was going. You can hear her light footsteps, as she avoided stepping on sticks and tripping over tree trunks. The closer you got, the louder the music got. You could now hear it's haunting melody, and a beautiful voice singing. What kind of a party was this?
  9. You both eventually step into this clearing and you notice objects moving. You blink once, than twice, trying to clear your vision. A glowing object whizzes past your face, making you flinch back. When you look back at the dancing objects, your mouth drops. "You brought me to a-a Pixie Party?!" You nearly yell making some faeries glare at you. "Hush now!" Maeve says. "It is now what you call a 'Pixie Party'. You are on Unseelie land." You glare at her, and cross your arms. "Why did you bring me here?" You ask and she shakes her head. "Come with me, the Lady wishes to speak with you." She grabs your arm and begins to pull you through the crowd of Brownies, Butter Sprites, Pixies and more. You feel their hands on your body, hear them calling out for you. You fidget out of their reach and stay as close to Maeve as you possibly can. "You mean the Queen?" You hiss. Why would the queen of the Unseelie court want to talk to you? Should you be worried? You come to a stop, and Maeve looks back at you. "I am not the one who can give you the answers, but if you wait here patiently, all you're questions will be answered soon." she says and she turns and walks away. You begin to follow her when a heavy hand falls upon your shoulder. "I wouldn't do that, Ancient One. The Lady only allows one at a time." A liquid, smooth, male voice says and you turn around to come face to face with a buttery haired faery and he had buttery eyes to match. You can make out his pointy ears, and his cruel beautiful features. You wonder what it must be like to be one of the fey. You narrow your eyes and him and shrug off his hand. "Did you just call me old?" You ask, daring to say yes. "Actually, that is that correct term for you. You were sent down powers by your ancestors, little pieces of the ancient ones, making you an ancient one." He says, matter-of-factly. You give a 'Yeah-right' look. "How come you act like you know everything?" You ask, and cross your arms. He seems unmoved by your rudeness, and he so much as blinks. "A faery cannot speak an untruth," He says and you nod. "So, by not being able to lie, you guys become smart-alecks." You say and he looks as if he is almost laughing. "That is correct," He says and looks past you. "You may go now," he says and you turn. The first thing you see is a woman with bright fiery copper hair, and dark, forest green eyes. Her nose is sharp looking, and her features are bone and flawless. She is just absolutely beautiful. The buttery haired knight gives you a push forwards and you stumble up by Maeve. You notice the Queen is sitting upon a thrown made up of sticks and vines, keeping it held together, and what looks like a Changeling, sits at her feet. Maeve clears her throat and you kneel down on one knee and bow. "Such courtesy for one who is not of the fey." She says. Her voice is bone chilling, rough and smooth at once, full of power. "You may rise." You do as she says and you stand there awkwardly. You don't know if you should stare at her, or advert your eyes so you stare down at your hands. "What is it you wanted me here for?" You ask, not looking up. "Nothing more than to talk, dear." She says and you nod, still not looking at her. You feel as if everyone was looking at you and you feel more out of place than ever. Your hands are shaking, and you wish you were back at home, laying in bed with {________}. You wish you wouldn't have woken up. You can hear the music of the fey clearly still, and you can hear the chatter of the Unseelie creatures talking and dancing. "You are afraid," You hear the queen say and you laugh a bit. "I'm nervous, there's a difference," You lie, and the guilty knot in your stomach returns. "Look up, than, very well." She says and you do as you are told. Once again, you're lost in her beauty. You wonder what the queen of the Seelie court must look like. Does she have the same hair, or is it a different color? Does she share the same eyes? You try to shake yourself out of the daze, and focus on what the Queen has to say.
  10. "A war is on its way, and that necklace is the key to either stopping it, or challenging it." The Queen never takes her eyes off of you, and her gaze burns. "So, you're saying that no matter what, the necklace is either going to create a war or stop it?" You ask, trying to make sense of that. "Yes, that is what I am telling you." You think about this for a moment, and you are still confused. "I don't understand," You confess and the Unseelie Queen nods at you. "I have feared you might not." You feel slightly embarrassed, for not having as much knowledge as everyone else did. "Think of it this way, that necklace of yours-," "It's not-," You interrupt and Maeve nudges you with her elbow, and you shut right up. "It strengthens your gifts, and gives you extraordinary power over anyone." She explains and you nod, following what she was saying. "And you, you are the new keeper of that necklace. You are what decides whether we fight or not." You frown, shaking your head. "No, that can't be right.." You murmur, trying to come up with some other explanation. The pressure just kept piling on and on. Your shoulders slump, and you feel like your knees were going to give out. "Come along," you hear Maeve tell you and she pulls you with her. "I know just the thing you need." You sigh, wondering what else she has in mind. Whatever it is, it can't be good. You let her lead you past more creatures of the fey and to a long table with all sorts of white, purple, blue, and red fruit on it, and just as many goblets. "Here," she says, picking up one of the goblets. "Drink this." You give her a suspicious look, and shake your head. "I'm not going to drink that," You declare. She gives you a look, like you're paranoid. "Just relax, I'm not going to poison you!" Maeve says, and you frown. "No, that's not it. If someone that does not belong to the fey eat or drink something, they're stuck here." You reply, and she laughs. "You silly girl! This won't hurt you! It's only faery wine," she says, a grin on her face. You squint your eyes at her and give her a, 'Did-you-not-just-hear-what-I-said?' look. "Emphasis on 'faery'." You say and she shakes her head. "You will be fine, now drink. You need it." She hands you the goblet and you huff out a sigh. "Just one drink," You tell her and you take a small sip. It actually tastes quite sweet, not like alcohol at all. You take another drink, bigger this time, and within seconds you're chugging down the whole thing. "Another," You demand and Maeve hands you another goblet. You quickly down that, and you know you should stop but your arms reach out for another. After you reach for your fourth cup, Maeve grabs your hands and shakes her head. "Oh no," she says, and you have this stupid grin on your face. "That is far enough for you, my dear." A giggle escapes your mouth and you quickly cover it with your hand. You never giggle. "Am I drunk?" You ask in a slight slurred voice. "Oh, yes. I really did not think this through, I apologize. I had no idea how much you would adore the drink." Maeve says and you notice faeries dancing. "Oh!" You exclaim and begin to tug on Maeve's arm. You're mind is in a daze, and you just want to go out and dance. "Come dance with me!" You plead and you begin to drag her with you to where everyone was dancing. "Actually, uh-," You laugh and throw your hands up, and you begin to sway your hips. "Look who's the scardy now!" You taunt and you lower your hands. You close your eyes and you hear Maeve huff out a sigh, before you feel her hands on yours and you're eyes open.
  11. Maeve has begun to move her hips, and you notice the way that you both don't have to try, it just comes easy for you two. Something natural. You have the biggest grin on your face, and no matter how you try to stop smiling, you can't. Maeve notices and makes a comment. "So, are you enjoying yourself right now?" She asks and you nod. "I am," You say cheerfully. You can't remember why you were so anxious and nervous earlier. This place was amazing, and it wasn't everyday that someone got the chance to say you danced with a Nyxus on Unseelie land. You begin to get thirsty, and you tell Maeve. You start to head for the table and you had another goblet when it was taken out of your hand. You begin to say something when you see the buttery haired faery standing in front of you, holding the goblet. "Getting a bit greedy, are we?" Maeve is one step behind him. "Give the girl a break, Ameer. She doesn't know any better." She says, and you put both hands on the table for support. Your eyes were beginning to droop, and you wanted another drink. You glance down at a white fruit in the shape of a pear. You begin to feel this hunger, and you stare at the fruit with this longing. You lick your lips and pick it up, and bite into it eagerly. It is as sweet as the wine. Purple juice runs down your chin and drips onto our chest. You close your eyes, and savor the taste, as you begin to take multiple bites. "Well, come along then," You hear Maeve say. "Help me get her to the car." "What a mess human's make," You hear Ameer say and the white fruit is taking from your hands and you are being pulled. "If you haven't taken notice, faery," Maeve says in a chilling voice. "She isn't human." You stumble, trying not to trip and you take notice that Maeve has one of your arms and Ameer has the other. "Ooh, where of to now?" You ask, eager for more fun. "It's time to get us home," Maeve says and you pout. "That's no fun," You say. You try to remember what it was that you were thinking about earlier, but your mind just went blank. You want another white fruit. You three have now entered the small strip of tree's and you try to steady your feet so you won't trip over everything. You begin to sing along, barely to the lyrics that you could hear in the air. You weren't keeping up that well. You keep laughing in between and Ameer begins to get very annoyed with you. "Maeve, can't you quiet her down?" He asks, and you look at him. "Oh, am I bothering you?" You ask, in the stupidest voice ever. "You are." He says and you laugh again. "Keep your temper in check, Ameer. We're almost there," Maeve says, and you three keep walking. "Maeve," You breathe out, quieting yourself now. "Yes, child?" She asks, and you smile at the word 'child.' Why does everyone keep calling you that? "Can we come here more often?" You ask and she laughs. "Oh, you do not mean that," Ameer says and you glare at him. "I do," You argue and he shakes his head. "You're drunk on faery wine, it is only mean't for faeries." he says and you give him a 'So-what?' look. "You are not even supposed to be on these lands of this court." He says and you huff out a sigh. "Maeve, how is she going to drive like this?" Ameer asks and she looks at him from the corner of her blue eyes. "She's not, I am." She says and he let's out a laugh, that sounds more threatening than humorous. "Oh, hush now!" She say's, getting defensive. "It can't be that hard to learn!" She yells, and you see your car finally come into view.
  12. Ameer and Maeve help you into the passenger seat and Maeve puts on your seat belt. You notice Ameer isn't touching anything, not even you anymore. His nose is crunched up, and he has a look of disgust on his face. "What's wrong with you?" You ask and he looks at you as if you were stupid. "It stinks of iron," He says and you frown. Maeve is searching both of your hands, and boots for your key. "Faeries can't touch iron, it burns their skin," she explains, her voice half muffled. "Where is that key?" She asks aloud and you pull it out from nowhere. "Right here!" You say and she gives you a weird look, but takes it. "I appreciate your help, Ameer," she says, nodding to him. He nods back and opens his mouth, moving away from the car. "Don't expect it every time, and you," He says, looking at you. "She won't always be around to help you, neither will I." Maeve closes your door before you can reply and she puts the key into the ignition. "Okay," She breathes, and tries to drive. Your car makes a strange noise, and goes nowhere. "You have to put it in drive!" You yell, gesturing to the numerous gears waiting to be shifted. "The one that say D, yes?" she asks and you nod. "Yesss," You say, extending the 's'. "Okay," she repeats, and puts it in drive, and starts to turn the wheel, pressing on the gas pedal. After she turns around, she begins to put pressure on the gas pedal. Soon she is driving fast, and you hold onto the seat. "Slow down!" You yell, and she gives you look. "What do you mean?" She asks, and you frown at her. "The break, duh! You're going too fast!" She lets up on the gas, and she turns. You feel the pull in your stomach and she starts to press down on the gas pedal. "I don't know what I'm doing wrong!" She confesses and you laugh without humor. "You don't know what you're doing at all!" You shriek and she bites her lip. 'Oh god..' you think, feeling as if you were going to be sick. "I can't slow down!" She says and you frown at her. "The. Break!" You yell. "Which is the break?" She asks and you give her a look like she's stupid. Didn't these people get taught anything?! "It's the other pedal!" You say, and she switches her foot and slams down on the break. "Not like that!" You yell, clutching onto the seat, since you can't clutch onto anything else. The car tires screech, and comes to a stop and you both catch your breath. Despite your tipsyness, you begin to start to make an effort to think clearly. "Okay," You say, breathing hard. "Put slight pressure on the gas pedal," You say softly, and she does. The car begins to go forwards again. "Don't put too much pressure on it." You instruct and she nods. "Okay," she replies. She does good actually, except for when she goes too fast, she slams on the break and this happens all the way until you're parked crookedly in your father's driveway. You quickly teleport to your bedroom at HQ where you begin to take off your boots immediately, falling every now and again, and you take your hair out of it's side pony. You collapse onto your bed, and mumble something to Maeve about sleeping on Renee's bed. You fall asleep immediately.
