Poll Creation Tips

Think carefully about how you phrase your poll question. A good poll question is fair, that is, it isn't biased toward a particular answer. A good poll question communicates the topic of the poll clearly yet isn't overly wordy.

The poll answers are just as important. Be sure you aren't leaving any options out. People hate to take a poll that doesn't have the answer they want to choose. Try to cover all the bases.

Try to use proper spelling, as that comes across the best.

Adding a link back to your URL is important if you want your poll-takers to return to your profile or blog.

Be sure to tell your friends about your poll. GoToQuiz polls are easy to post to MySpace or in a blog. Forums can be tricky because many don't support HTML. In that case you may need to post just the link. You can also e-mail the link to friends.
