  1. Prologue: Knowing Johnny Cade, the Greaser who died would be crazy for anybody. But being his little sister and knowing he'll no longer be with you through hard times anymore is a rollercoaster. I know I have Ponyboy, Darry, Sodapop, Two Bit, and Steve as brothers but it just doesn't feel the same without Johnny here. It's bad enough Dally's dead but to lose your own brother is even worse. It feels empty. Like a piece of me has been ripped out. The worst part is that I was there when he died and know how and why it happened. Here's my story.
  2. Ch.1 It's been two days since Johnny got beat up by the Socs. Not only did it affect him but it affected all of us. The Socs are the upper class gang and us, the Greasers are the lower class gangs. No matter if we win or lose in anything, the Socs always win. It sucks at first, but then you get use to it because it happens so often.
  3. Johnny now has a big bruise on his cheek. Mom and Dad don't really notice it. They're usually too drunk to care or are the reason for our bruises. But Johnny and I don't stay with them a lot. Instead, we go to Ponyboy's house. Darry and Sodapop don't mind and our parents never notice. Johnny is three years older than me. He's sixteen and I'm thirteen. I'm the youngest out of the gang so they call me Baby. I never liked the name in the first place but they call me Baby anyway. I don't fight, smoke, or drink like the rest of the guys. Well, I fight when I need to but not as much as the others. I'm always scared that if I do start drinking, I'll end up like mom and dad. Crazy and abusive. I'm too young to anyways.
