The air in the tavern was thick with cigar smoke, and the smell of mead and mutton filled the air. Patrons sipped at their drinks and spoke in hushed tones, while a bard played a sad tune in the corner. It was a place where adventure could be found, where secrets were exchanged over drinks, and where anything could happen. It was the perfect place for a stranger to blend in and ask questions. So the stranger took a seat at the bar and ordered a drink, and they waited to see what would come.

The quiet hybrid entered the tavern, their hood pulled against their face. Their bright blue eyes glowed from their hood and they glanced around, trying to hide their true form and powers. It took a lot to blend in with the humans, and they were having one of their harder days. They took a seat at the bar, despite being very young in human years.

Cecelia entered the tavern, nose stuck in a book as usual. Migrating towards a corner, she bumps into a few people, who give her disgusted looks, but she doesn't even look up at them. She flips pages as she sits, then looks up, taking in the area around her.

A figure entered the tavern, the hood of her cloak casting a shadow across her face. She sat down silently, the shadow over her face appearing to slowly grow even darker if you looked closely. She looked around the tavern, making notes of those who were there.

Parvin set brimming glasses of ale down on a nearby table, where rowdy men who frequented the tavern boasted of their many tales and adventures. They were wild, but respectful to her. If anyone cast sly desiring eyes towards the daughter of the tavern's keeper, they were quickly dealt with. She tucked a loose strand of curly brown hair behind her ear, smiling at the newest arrivals.
"Welcome! What can I do for ya?" she said cheerfully. -

The stranger turns, shifting in their chair slightly to observe the new guests. He hastily pulled his hood up from his cloak, grasping his beverage with him, before approaching one of the newcomers. He hadn't seen them around before, and was rather inquisitive about them.
"You new?" He inquired, lifting his left hand for a handshake. Something about his demeanor seemed challenging; he glanced them up and down, almost as if calculating. -
The hybrid flicked their ears back and whined quietly. "Uh, ye-yeah. I'm new..." They made sure they had their hood was up and shifted nervously, refusing to shake his hand.

Cecelia looked up from her book abruptly, looking around in confusion then focusing on the speaker, relaxing a little. "I'm not new, you probably haven't seen me around as i don't get out much. i'm either home or the library." she says, then looks back at her book. -
The figure let down her hood, still glancing around nervously. “You could call me new.” She lifted a hand up to her silver hair, playing with a strand of it.
