Ariawyn bit her lip, not meaning to offend him. "Sorry. Then she closed and locked the door, leaving them in damp darkness.
-
"Your apology is accepted," Jersey said, apparently lifting his head up pridefully, but quickly ducking it back down again with a hiss of pain after he smacked it against the roof of the tunnel.
-
Ariawyn smiled, relieved he couldn't see her in the darkness. "Come on," she said. "We should get moving."
-
"Oh, I'm moving, I'm moving," Jersey said, delicately trip-tropping down the tunnel. "When does this thing end?"
-
"Soon," she muttered, dragging her hands on the walls. "Soon there should be a root, and if I touch it, it should open a passagew-aaaayyyyy!" Ariawyn screamed as her finger brushed the root and opened up a passageway right under her feet, dropping her into a narrow slide-like tunnel going horizontal.
-
"Ariawyn!" Jersey said in alarm, whipping around and peering down the tunnel. He paced anxiously back and forth for a moment, before sliding down the suspicious tunnel.
-
The tunnel threw Ariawyn rather roughly into a lake at the very bottom, far away from the hill her home was. She flew through the air indignantly and landed with a splash in the shallows. She laid for a moment, flat on her back, before she abruptly jumped up and moved away from where she'd landed, waiting for the satyr.
-
Wow, messed up that sentence.
*rather roughly into a lake at the very bottom of the hill, far away from where her home was* -
A screaming ball of brown fur and hooves soared through the air and landed in the water with a large splash. He paddled pathetically in the water, unable to swim.
-
Ariawyn paused for a moment, gazing at the struggling Jersey, then dived in after him. She came up beside him and extended a hand. "Here," she said softly, and willed a lily pad floating nearby to float over and provide a semi-stable surface for Jersey to hold onto. "Relax. Breathe. Grab the lilypad."
-
Jersey clutched onto the lilypad for dear life, gasping for air and kicking his hind legs.
-
"Now. Hang on." Ariawyn, still treading water, willed the lily pad to float to shore. She followed and walked out of water, squeezing out her long, reddish platinum hair out.
-
Jersey scrambled onto the shore as soon as possible, shaking himself off and sending crystalline droplets everywhere.
-
"You alright, goat b-" Ariawyn caught herself and added, "Jersey?" Her pale green eyes narrowed in concern.
-
I drew Ariawyn and imma draw Jersey next ))
