  "You know, I could easily take over your job," the younger boasted. "In fact, I could probably do it today."
  The older sighed, glanced out the car window, and looked at his apprentice. It was about midnight, and the light of the street lamp they were parked a few yards away from spread faintly up onto their dashboard and faces. The rain had finally let up, and the last drops were rolling down the windows of the black car. It was nothing fancy, though not old enough to be memorable in any way. His eyes traced some of the last raindrops, then looked again to the younger. "You think so? Look, I've had reports of one last target tonight. You think you could handle it?"
  Henry laughed. "I take demons all the time. Of course I could." He looked at his teacher, a little offended.
  "I don't mean for you to hunt it down and kill it," he commented, noting his student's offense turn to confusion.
