He caught one of the guests staring at him. She was a princess, right? He sighed, expecting her to walk over and try her best to make a good impression.
-
She blushed lightly and glanced away out of embarrassment for staring. She was dressed in a Colonial type uniform that was all white. She watched as Estada walked over to the prince, worried of what her mother was going to do.
Estada smiled and bowed at the prince. "You Majesty it's a pleasure to meet you." She straightened up. "It's really a great deal that the royal army was took over the Northern tribes don't you agree?" -
"Uh, yeah, I guess so. I've never been that into the military stuff, though. You're one of the most honored guests for tonight, right?" He smiled at the woman.
-
Estada nodded lightly. " yes I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself. I'm General Estada and your father is the same way. He usually just never comes to the military meetings." She smiled back at the prince. "My Colonial is here as well." She pointed over at Danielle. "She is also my daughter Danielle Rogers."
-
"So she's not a princess," he replied, staring at the girl. "Don't count on me attending those either."
-
"No she is not a princess and I think she is glad about that." She chuckled and smiled sadly. "I hope this war is over before you ever take control over the kingdom." She tilted her head a bit. "You should go talk to my daughter."
-
He sighed and shrugged. "I'm not much for talking. Maybe later. She looks familiar, have you two been here before?"
-
Estada nodded lightly in an understanding nod. "We never are rarely off the battlefield or even the camps." She glanced at Danielle. "But she is my adopted daughter, so maybe you both have met before this war broke out." She smiled. "But I must go and talk to the other guest."
-
He nodded. "Have a good evening." Jem glanced over the ballroom atmosphere, noticing how many people were dancing. He was glad he didn't have to.
-
Danielle sighed lightly and glared when one of the princes came over and asked for a dance. "No, I don't want to dance with a sweaty pig like you." She said loud enough for people to hear.
-
He overheard the general's daughter rejecting a prince, and couldn't help but laugh. He would invite her himself, if he could stand being out in the crowd. He was an excellent dancer, when he wasn't nervous.
-
She saw the prince walk away in defeat with a few of the othet princes laughing at him. She stopped the prince leaning against and saw him laugh a bit, causing her to blush a bit. Neither of them were making a move so she decided to be the first.
-
His eyebrows raised in surprise as she started to walk over. He took a sip of his drink, then continued to watch her.
-
When she was finally near him, she smiled lightly and bowed. "Majesty..." she mumbled lightly, loud enough for him to hear. "It's nice to finally meet you." She mumbled lowly. "Again.."
-
He smiled a little. "You don't need to bow." He still wasn't entirely used to it, considering that if things had gone even a little differently, he would be the one bowing. "You're the general's daughter, right? What's your name?"
