Its a reference to a scene in Radical Dreamers, a visual novel made by the Chrono Trigger team. In the scene the characters are in a room with a bunch of goblins and one of the characters Kid, accidentally made a sound, so the goblins thought it was a mouse. So kid made a squeal and one of the goblins suggested it was a heckran. So Kid made that noise because she didnt know what one sounds like.
The goblins didnt either, but called the group iut anyway -
