The book is called Hoot. It's about a kid name Roy who moves to Florida and gets bullied and he sees this mysterious kid running. Roy wants to know about the kid.

And the kid helps Roy save owls in the forest?
Don't be surprised, I haven't read the book, but they've made a film about it, in which I've watched. :3 I like it. -
They made a movie!? O.o Must go see...
