A repeated question with no correct answer! "The cat ran to the door." There is NO direct object. A DO is a noun/pronoun which receives the action of the verb, in this case "ran." It seems that the author thinks "door" is a DO. It is not. It is the object of the preposition "to." Part of a prepositional phrase can never be a DO. Very bad question - not even smarter than a 3rd grader.
