Although I got "Not A Moron", I have two objections to this test. My first objection is that the sheer amount of people who manage to not be morons is implausible, so I suspect that the percentage one gets is determined beforehand (unless your intelligence correlates to the probability of one's result). Similarly, incompetent people tends to view themselves highly and may select choices that they know are morally or socially "correct" but in reality, do not abide to, therefore having a skewed outcome. My second objection is in regards to the question: Do you believe in God? The only reasonable "No" choice is "No, that's stupid" but even that choice is unreasonable. I don't believe in God but I'm not going to criticize other people who do. Religion has been shown to have many profound effects on happiness and, in the words of Jonathon Haidt, group-ishness. Simply because I don't believe in God doesn't make people who do stupid. Additionally, I think a better subsitute for God might be religion, as there are some religions with multiple gods or deities. Although some may consider their weekly book club meetings to be some sort of a religion to them, I think most people will get the gist. I hope you'll consider my convictions and apply the necessary changes. In any case, I had fun answering this quiz, especially with the amusing answer choices.
