Banned Books Week | Comments

Well, I say "Hooray for Banned Books Week"! I thought it was a wonderful quiz, not only because I got 10 out of 10 bnut also because of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. No public entity, such as a library (even a school library, in my opinion), has the right to tell people what they can or cannot read -- and that goes for children, too: their parents can limit their reading but a library cannot.

Sometime s the banning of a popular book gets splashed all over the air waves and I'm pretty sure most people wonder who on earth could object to that book, but that is not the point. The point is freedom of speech and of the press.
