Movement: Reinforcing content learning through movement by creating IDU with non-core content teachers such as physical education or art teachers. For example, physical education teachers could reinforce science concepts by having students experience the movement and structure of atoms, using hula hoops to simulate the action of the atoms when heated, cooled, or frozen. The art teacher could have students construct models of atoms made with wire.
Classroom Environment: Create the environment you are trying to teach students about. If you are teaching them about a rain forest, then the entire classroom should be a rain forest even if it is only symbolically. This can be used no matter what the content to help give students the sensory stimuli they need to access long term memory.
