They are many HBCU campuses, but few like this one. TU is, after all, the oldest HBCU in the state of Alabama. What is TU? Tuskegee University! Tuskegee University was the first African-American college to teach teachers. The historical campus was run by Booker T. Washington from 1881-1915.
