  1. I gasped for air as my eyes shot open. Looking around, I realized that I was still tied to the tree. I let out a breath of relief. "It was just a dream. Jason wouldn't do that." I whispered to myself, and then started to slip out of the ropes that tied me to the tree. As soon as I stood up, I heard the night watcher yell exactly what he said in my dream. I ignored him and crashed through the bushes, zig-zagging to loose him. I turned left and ran into someone. I looked up and saw Jason. "Thank God it's you." I breathed and I instantly put my instincts on full alert. "I wouldn't be thanking him just yet." Jason said and then advanced towards me. I automatically backed up. My back touched a tree and Jason put his right hand on the tree and his left hand on my waist. "What are you doing?" I asked, fear filling up inside of me. "Don't be afraid." Jason whispered and all of my fear left me. "Just relax." Jason gently kissed me, and my body relaxed. My mind started going fuzzy. Jason leaned in to kiss me again, but I forced my hands in front of me, and I stopped him from leaning in any further.
  2. "What are you doing?" I demanded. "Put your hands down." Jason said, ignoring my question. My hands fell down a little bit, but they still remained up. "Why are you doing this?" I asked. "Put your hands down, Kaylee." Jason whispered softly, and my hands fell down. "Why are you doing this, Jason?" I asked again, my vision starting to blur. "I can't tell you." Jason whispered and then kissed me again. I forced my body to remain awake when he pulled away. "Why can't you?" I whispered and I saw him smile. "You're definitely harder to take a hold of." Jason said. "Are you surprised?" I asked. "A little, but don't worry, I like a little challenge every now and then." He said and then gently kissed me again. My mind started going blank, and my body started to go limp.
  3. My legs couldn't hold me up anymore, and I slid down the tree. My eyes remained closed and my body remained limp, but my mind was still barely awake. I felt Jason kneel down beside me. "Such a shame that you had to get tangled up in this mess." Jason sighed and then I felt the rope around my wrists loosen until I couldn't feel them anymore. "Sweet dreams, Kaylee." Jason whispered, and he said something else, but my mind started to drift off, and I couldn't make out what he said. When I could open my eyes again, I noticed that I was back in that field. "Kaylee?" I heard Kelly's voice behind me. I turned around and saw her standing there. "What are you doing here?" Kelly asked, looking confused.
  4. "I don't know." I confessed. "Did they hurt you? Did you get knocked out?" Kelly asked. "No, they didn't hurt me, I escaped." I said. "Then why are you sleeping? You should be awake and putting more ground between you and them." She said. "I ran into Jason." I slowly said. "And...?" Kelly asked. "He kissed me and made me not have any fear. He told me to relax, and I did. And then he kissed me again, and I went limp, and my mind blanked out. Then, I woke up here." I explained. "He kissed you? Not once, but multiple times?" Kelly asked. I nodded my head and then Kelly slapped me across the face. "Ow! What was that for?" I yelled. "You need to wake up." Kelly said. "What? Why?" I asked as I held my cheek. "He kissed you. You're alone with him. You're unconscious. Does that not mean anything to you?" Kelly asked.
  5. "No. It doesn't." I said. "Hello? He could be raping you right now. So, wake up." Kelly yelled. "I doubt he's doing that right now." I said. "You don't know that. We haven't know him for very long. Heck, we haven't even known him for a week." Kelly pointed out, putting a hand on her hip. "So? That doesn't mean that he's a rapist." I said. "It could. Why would he kiss you multiple times, when he doesn't even know you? Why would he make your mind go blank? He probably drugged you. Now, wake up." Kelly demanded. "It's not that simple." I said. "Why not?" She asked. "I can't just make myself wake up. It doesn't work like that." I explained. "Well, it should." Kelly grumbled.
  6. "Look, when I wake up, I can figure it all out, and then tomorrow night, I can meet you here and tell you. Okay?" I said. "Fine. Anything you want me to tell Drake?" Kelly asked. "Yeah, just tell him that I'm alive and fine." I replied. "Unless if you were raped." Kelly said. "Kelly!" I yelled. "Just sayin'." Kelly held up her hands in the surrender position. "Don't tell him that Jason kissed me." I said. "I won't." Kelly promised and then a colorful vortex came down and then Kelly was gone. After what seemed like hours, I was finally sucked into the color tornado, and woke up. My eyes flashed open and immediately sat up. Looking around, I didn't see Jason anywhere. Not even a trace of where he went, but for some reason, I had a pretty good hunch of where he went.
  7. I quietly got up and followed my instincts, walking through bushes and twisting around trees and vines. I then came to a clearing and saw Jason sleeping on the opposite side. I marched over to him and stared him down, my arms crossed. I cleared my throat and he woke up. "What the hell did you do to me last night?" I demanded. "What?" Jason asked, still tired. "Don't play dumb with me. You know what I'm talking about." I told him. "Trust me, it was for your own good." Jason yawned as he stood up. "Trust you? For my own good? Do you realize how messed up that sentence is? I had no idea what was going on, and I had no idea what was happening. For all I know, you could've raped me." I said. "I didn't rape you, and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been rape anyways." Jason smirked. "Ugh. Just tell me what you did." I demanded. "All I did was help you sleep better and relax. You looked like you needed it." Jason told me as he stretched.
  8. "But did you have to kiss me?" I asked. "I didn't have to, but it was more fun, and it's easier that way." He said and then winked at me. "You're unbelievable." I rolled my eyes and threw my hands in the air. I turned around and started walking back to the way that I came. "Their camp's that way." Jason called after me. "I knew that." I yelled back as I turned back around and started walking pass Jason. "Sure you did." He said and then followed me. I weaved my way around the trees and bushes until the sun was above me. Just then, Jason grabbed my hand, spun me into him, and kissed my gently. "You need to stop being so worried." He kissed me again and I didn't feel worried anymore. His hands were on my waist and mine were wrapped around his neck. I know I wasn't thinking straight. I then pulled away and took a couple steps back. "What are you doing?" I asked him. "What?" Jason asked. "You're doing the same thing that you were doing last night." I said. "So?" He asked.
  9. "So stop. I don't know why or how you're doing what you're doing, but stop." I commanded. "Why?" Jason asked. "Because I'm pretty sure it's mental abuse." I replied. "I'm not going to hurt you." He said and for a second, I almost believed him. "You can't hurt me if you can't find me." I said, backing up. "What's that suppose to mean?" He called after me. "You'll see." I called back and then took off sprinting. I heard Jason following me and slowly gaining ground. "This way." A voice to my right whispered. I turned that way and started zig-zagging in-between the trees. "Kaylee! Stop running!" I heard Jason yell and I immediately stopped running. "Run." The voice whispered. "I can't." I said to the voice and then I felt a breeze go through me. I turned around and saw Jason standing there, but between us was a black shadow.
  10. "Kaylee, come here." Jason said and I took a step forward. The black shadow moved towards Jason. "Run." It whispered to me, and I broke out of my trance and sprinted in the other direction. I plowed through the bushes, not slowing down or even flinching when the branches hit me. "There she is!" I heard a voice yell, followed by footsteps coming my way. A shot fired and the tree next to me exploded. As I broke through the tree line, I had to skid to a halt to keep myself from falling over the edge of a cliff. I quickly turned around to run again, but four Shades blocked my path. "Well, well. Aren't you just a little escaper?" One of them said and then took a step forward. I took a step back and my heel was off the edge. "Now don't do anything rash." Another one of them said and the first guy took another step towards me. I moved my other foot until that heel was off of the edge too. Then, they all rushed towards me, and I acted on impulse. I jumped off the edge of the cliff and started falling.
