  2. What is your gender?
  1. Machine gun shots fired in the room. I covered my ears and leaned against Drake out of fear, not knowing if this was the safe spot or not. Soon, the shots stopped, and I heard footsteps retreating. "Should we get out now?" Drake asked me. "Wait a little while and then we need to get under the broken table on the far side of the room." I whispered to him and he nodded. He knew about my dreams and insane abilities to know what's going to happen. As a result to that, he freaked out, and it got to much for him to handle. Also, Kelly freaked out too when I told her that I told Drake. Which is why she's kind of mean to him. When he broke up with me, he told me hat he still has feelings for me, but he just can't handle the stress and the worrying of having a girlfriend who can tell the future. I said that I understood and that we can still be friends. "Okay, go now." I whispered to him after I heard more shots being fired down the hall. We burst through the cabinet doors and ran straight to the broken desk. We hid under it and waited.
  2. "Are you even sure she went in here?" A deep voice of a male asked as he got closer to the room. "Yes I'm sure. Let's just shoot those cabinets and go find the other one." A women's voice replied and then shots went off again. Retreating footsteps followed and Drake let out a breath of relief. "Did you do something to piss those people off?" Drake demanded. "I don't think so." I replied. "You don't think so?" Drake repeated. "Yeah. But at this point, I'm not sure what I think any more." I said and then got on my knees and peered over the table. I saw no one. "We need to get to Kelly." I said as I stood up. "What-why?" Drake quickly asked as he stood up too.
  3. "You heard them too. I'm assuming that the 'other one' is Kelly. And you know how good I am at assuming things." I pointed out, pointing my finger at him, and giving him an "I-dare-you-to-tell-me-otherwise" look. He sighed and then I ran to the door, jumping over tipped over chairs and tables. I peered out of the doorway to make sure they weren't there. I then looked around the corner from the door and saw that they weren't there either. I silently walked to where I told Kelly and Jason to hide from and Drake followed me, a little less silent though. I reached the corner where Kelly, Jason, and I were suppose to be reading. I looked around it and saw the two people with the guns trying to break down the door to the storage room where Kelly and Jason were. I pulled my head back and tried to think of a plan to get them away from the storage room. Then, a very crazy idea came to me. "Okay, I need you to go back to that room and get a chair. When I run pass you, swing the chair, and knock one of them out." I told Drake.
  4. "Are you crazy?" He whispered. "Probably. Now go!" I commanded and he gave me one last "you're-out-of-your-mind" look before running to the room. I saw that he got a chair and hid behind a corner. It was my turn now. I stepped out from the corner and whistled, making them turn their surprised heads my way. "Looking for me?" I asked and then made sure that they came towards me before running down the hallway. I ran past where Drake was and he knocked out the girl with the chair. I kept on running and heard the guy still chasing me. I ran up the stairs once when I got to the end of the hallway. The guy was gradually closing the space between me and him. I made a mistake and turned around slightly, to see where he was. A single shot fired and pain exploded in my right leg. I fell and rolled a little before coming to a stop. I was about to get back up again when someone pulled me up and held me by my arm. "Actually, yes, I was looking for you." The guy growled in my face.
  5. "Get off!" I yelled and tried to yank my arm out of his grip. "They told me you were a fighter. Same with that other girl." He said and held my arm in his large hand, preventing me from getting away. "Who's they?" I demanded. "You're about to find out." He growled and started pulling me down the hall. "I said get off of me!" I yelled again and then I saw his hard stare turn into a look of surprise and shock. I didn't know why at first, but then I saw these black, shadowy figures come from behind me, and go into the guy. He immediately let go of my arm and he dropped to the floor. I saw his eyes staring at nothing and his mouth was open. I soon realized that he was dead. The black shadows came out of his mouth and they disappeared. Freaked out, I tried to run down the hall, but soon found myself on the floor again. Excruciating pain went through my right leg and I saw a pool of blood on the floor. I got back up and felt the floor sway under my feet and I had to lean against the wall for support. My vision started to get blurry and the edges started to go black, but I kept on limping/hopping to the stairs.
  6. When I reached them, I felt like I was going to throw up. I grabbed the rails for support and squeezed my eyes shut, waiting for the feeling to go away. Once it did, I started hopping down the stairs, using the rails for support. I reached the bottom of the stairs and turned left to see Drake, Jason, and Kelly trying to knock out the women. She finally fell down with a hard hit on the head with a chair leg from Kelly. All of my energy and fight left me and I collapsed on the floor. Drake was the first to see me, followed by Kelly, and then Jason. They all came running towards me and knelt down besides me. "Jason, call 911!" Drake commanded and Jason obeyed. "Kaylee, can you hear me? What happened to the other person?" Kelly asked me. "Dead." I managed to croak out and Kelly gave me a "how-did-you-do-that" look.
  7. "We need to stop the bleeding." Drake said and then both him and Kelly pressed down on my thigh. "They said that they're already on their way." Jason informed us as he came running back. No more than a minute later, we heard the sirens: police, fire, and ambulance. "Come on. We gotta get Kaylee to them. Do you think you can make it there?" Kelly asked me and I nodded my head. They pulled me up to my feet and I would've fell down if Drake didn't catch me. "She's going to bleed out if we keep going at this pace." Drake pointed out. "Then what do you expect we do?" Kelly snapped at him. "This." Drake said and then picked me up and started carrying me down the hall. I didn't protest, I knew he was right, and it's a good thing that he was the quarterback on the football team. He ran down the hallway and Kelly and Jason held open the doors.
  8. "Freeze! Put your hands where I can see them!" A cop ordered, pointing his gun at us when we walked out of the school. "Idiots," Drake mumbled under his breath and then raised his voice so they could hear him clearly, "She was shot and she's bleeding out, fast." The cop hesitated before motioning Drake over to the ambulance. "Freeze! Put your hands where I can see them!" The cop said again at Kelly and Jason. "We're with them." Kelly informed him and then hurried towards us before the cop could do anything else. Drake gently set me down on a stretcher and then the ambulance people rolled me into the ambulance. Drake, Kelly, and Jason jumped in with us, which made the ambulance very crowded. "Woah, you all can't be in here. Only one person." One of the medics said.
  9. "I'm staying. You two get out." Kelly declared and after a hesitant look from the guys, they eventually got out. The ambulance sirens went off as it sped down the road to the hospital. The medics worked on my leg and they were constantly talking to me, making sure I was awake. "Is she going to be alright?" Kelly asked. "Maybe. The bullet hit the femoral artery, which is the second major artery in the body. The first is the heart. She will most likely die, but there is a possibility that she can survive because the bullet is blocking some of the artery and making less blood flow from the artery." One of the medics explained as he wrapped something around my leg, trying to stop the bleeding. "Great." Kelly sarcastically said and then we pulled up into the the hospital. People passed by me like a blur. My vision became dark and I was fighting to stay awake. I lost and I let the darkness engulf me in a pit of black.
