Orignally from Brick City, been in Cali for 5 years now and trust me I miss Italian cheeseburger's(whic h is the correct answer). Ask anyone out here what a California burger is and they can tell it usually has avocado, lettuce and tomato. But anyway the quiz was still cool.

Back in the day when I was young I'm not a kid anymore but sometimes I sit and wish I was a kid again!(Ahmad)
For sure, I knew I had the Italian Cheesburger right!

Great memories! But you had Weequahic, Frelinghuysen, and Martland spelled wrong! But I can't front on you, cause if you ride through the hood you see so many different spellings of laundermat, I'm not sure of the correct way to spell it. lol

Um hello...you are so wrong about the California Burger, the correct answer is Italian Cheeseburger, that's damn near criminal!! Also, it's 123 Redlight, not Greenlight. But seriously, thanks for the memories...those were some good times

I left Newark in the late 80's and move to NY~~But I know lotto's came late down the road, like early 90's~~I was born at Beth Israel, so I'm not sure if the name has changed~~PSP~~My dad grew up there, so I hope I got Prince street project right~~I may have messed up with the clubs~~I put Zanzibar, that was my mom favorite club~~Did I get that right~~I know it had to to be Italian cheeseburgers, because I use to leave all the way from NY to go back home to get them burgers alongside the Italian hot dogs~~I wish I knew what I got wrong~~I did not grow up in Patterson~~Newark baby~~lol~~

Yo me and my cousin use to purposely fall when we were little, because we wanted the boys to get us in "catch girl get a girl""So grown..lol

Yo who ever wrote this quiz should recheck their answers the Italian cheeseburger was made with a hoagie roll and fries on top with plenty of ketchup on top.And all the sneakers was right except for the lottos, so you need to recheck .I got one for U what side of Newark is called hooterville !

WHAT IS YOUR MALFUNCTION. . . WORD IS BOND WHOEVER WROTE THIS SURVEY WAS PERPETRATIN' A FRAUD. TRY TO GO TO JIMMY BUFF'S ON 14TH AVE AND ASK FOR AN ITALIAN CHEESBURGER, THEN GO TO A DINER AND GET A CALIFORNIA BURGER,(WHICH HAS LETTUCE, TOMATOES AND MAYO). IF YOU REALLY WANTED A DEAL ON LEATHER COATS OR SHEEPSKINS YOU WENT TO DELANCY ST. (WON'T SAY WHERE THAT IS). SNEAKERS WERE IN THIS ORDER PUMA, ADIDAS, REEBOKS UH. . . LOTTOS WERE SOMETHING ELSE. EMPHATICALLY SPEAKING !!!!

I'm not hating but.....I got the high school thing wrong because you mis-spelled Weequahic, agreed, a cali burger did not have french fries but had lettuce, tomato and mayo! I'm confused on the sneakers thing? Lottos' was the Pick 6 across the river in NYC! True Old School Newark only had three sneakers: Converse, Pro-Keds and Pumas (Clyde's) Addidas and Pony's came much later.....albeit it was nice taking a trip back.

I do agree, it is an Italian Cheeseburger not a California which would include lettuce and tomatoes. And also number 1 was Martland Medical Center not Martlin. So I should have gotten those 2 correct. Your information is incorrect.

I agee with all the others I don't know who told you the answers but they did not come from Newark back in the day.
Ralfh and Lucy's in the Central High area had the best and it had fries and ketcup. I should have 100, I notice every one was in the 80's what is up with that. Is it that we know more then they do?????????????? Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmm

I was never into fast food until I discovered Italian Hot Dogs at Tom's Bar&Grill. Perhaps because of the lard factor...I knew that California meant mayo&lettuce, but what's one answer wrong?! Those were the good old days.

I thought we couldn't eat a cheeseburger w/fries because the greese it was fried in was "hog" and during that time we dare not eat hog. (at lease not in public, we waited until we got home and had a hog feast. Reggie (AKA Caseem back in the day)

why was lottos includes as a sneaker and not reeboks? i think this quiz was a joke to see who would respond onto the website b/c i know i should have received 100% rather than 80%.

sexydi said:

whoever was the judge and determined the answers to be right or wrong did not grow up in newark. As Khalif and Alturrick said italian sandwiches are made with ketchup, fries, and hoagie rolls. I know b/c i worked at the aqaurius ice cream spot across from Weequahic.
