As usual Bob is dead on. I would however like to add a thought of my own:

Dissidence is something to be embraced, not discouraged. A world where everyone believes the same things is basically the same as a George Orwell novel, or an Ayn Rand novel for those of you who lean right politically. Dissidence leads to new ideas, and usually really good ones, that add joy or purpose to our lives.

I find it contradictory, Leah, that in one paragraph you praise imagination, but in another you say everyone should be the same religion. Let me guess, we should all be Christians, right? I find your definition of the word imagination odd. My guess is that you believe imagination means to believe in something(God) that can't be proven.

Here's something you might find interesting: Christianity itself was an act of dissidence. Christianity by all accounts was a pretty radical religion compared to all the others that existed at the time of Jesus.

So to those of you who think it would be better off if we all had the same ideas, I have one thing to say: go back into the cave, because we'd still be in the cave if nobody had different ideas.

What I find funny is that while church programs say they accept everybody "because they're all human," they usually don't accept me.

I had to go to Church with my babysitter when my mom worked on Sundays. Other than that, I had no religious upbringing. As the loner of my family, spending my time in my room, I had the opportunity to think for myself and gather my own ideas. I tried to go to church on my own but after awhile, I felt a bad taste in my mouth and later, I felt like I was going to throw up just listening to the preacher talk.

One of my friends says that Athiest is a religion. Then I asked what we prayed to. He had no answer.

Well damn, we better find something to pray to, cuz we can get tax breaks out of having a religion! I'm thinking that we pray to the sun. Our church services will include everything the other religions aren't allowed to do: dancing, having sex, smoking, drinking, gambling. You know, basically get together for two hours and have fun. Instead of potluc dinners, we'll have key parties. Basically just make it a huge anti-religion.

Most of the theists I know, think we worship Richard Dawkins or Carl Sagan.

Also, there are already anti-religions. Satanism was created as an insult to Christainity. And Pastafarianism was created as in insult to all theists.

Yes I am aware of those. Really I just think it would be cool to have a religion that encourages it's congregation to do "sinful" things.
