	We cant divide 97 by 2 so 98 devide by 2 =49 so lets say 49 from mom and 48 from dad.u give 2 dollars to dad and 1 dollar to mom. 49+48=97 AND NO MISSING DOLLAR! :D(ignoring the your1 dollar)

	You can't divide 97 by two EVENLY but divided it equals 48.5. If you add a dollar to each, it's $49.5+$49.5= $99 Plus your dollar makes it $100.
