| It seems there is an internal struggle within the GOP as far the direction for the party. Moderates who feel the party is losing voters outside the south and among the young want to move away from culture war positions (such as anti-gay marriage) and rebrand the party. Traditionalists call these people RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) and want the party to hold firm to the Right. It's not clear to me which side will win the future. The party's base is more traditional and doesn't want change, yet they will continue to struggle to win over independent and young voters. I'm curious about who will emerge to lead the party and wonder who the 2012 candidates will shape up to be. |

| The best 2012 GOP candidate would be Mitt Romney, hands down. As for the party rebranding, I am totally against it. Why should we throw away all we stand for? | |
