Maybe your character could meet velox ( he is a ceti, but you never heard of that species, but he has a human form )
that is him, in ceti form, I will post information ;)
his name means swift, and it fits him well, and guess what?! in human form, he is like a NINJA!!! well, his five eyes could see really well, his handed tail is unusual, he is rather playful, but if someone tries to take something from his handed tail, he goes angry and it would be hard to calm down ( he has a bit more self control, other ceti could KILL ) his hair is short, a bit messy, dark grey, ( in human form ) same main color as body in ceti form, he is quick in both ceti and human form, he is a bit like a jester at times, but in a fight, he gets a bit more serious, and even uses shurikens if he is losing, he likes having fun, but keeps an eye out and is protective of his friends, he could be so silent that you could hear no twigs snap ( he trained himself XD ) he uses his tail for lots of stuff in both human and ceti form, he mostly wears a loose cloak in human form with loose pants but with a hole in them because of his tail ( he has the tail in human form! ) he also has the same number of eyes in both human and ceti form, five -
Maybe your character could move into a town and meet velox ( the setting )
