Epic Summer Part Nine

Welcome to Part Nine! In this episode, you will be participating in the first weekly camp game/competition, which this time around, turns out to be a canoe race.

Recap: So in Part Eight, you were caught in the burned cabin by Bill, and dragged to his office. Since you went through such a terrifying experience in Part Seven, he agrees to let you off the hook this time. But if it happens again, you'll be punished, regardless of what happens.

  1. Day eight at camp. Ever since the burned cabin incident three days back, you've decided that there are more important things to worry about. You, Sean, Michael, and Isiah are all chilling in your room on a July morning, just after breakfast. The four of you suddenly hear the main hall bell chiming, meaning something important is happening. Do you head down there?
  2. When the campers gather around the main hall, Bill makes an announcement: "Hope you're all having a great time here. For those of you who have been here before, you know that every week, the camp participates in a group competition, or game. Well I've called you all here to announce our first week's game. A few of us got together to discuss what we should do, and we've made a decision: Canoe races." Some of the kids seem disappointed and let down, while others seem satisfied and ecstatic. What is your take on this?
  3. "The canoes are already set out on the dock. The race begins in ten minutes, I want four to a canoe. To make it more interesting,my son and I will be competing too," Bill ends. Everybody begins jogging down to the lake, where about 30 canoes are set neatly along the shoreline. In one canoe you have Emily, Quinn, and Bone, while in the other, you have Sean, Michael, and Isiah. Which one do you join?
  4. You, Sean, Michael, and Isiah all wait for Bill to start the race. There are four spots on the canoe: there are the two spots in the back of the canoe, which require the most rowing effort, and then there are the seats in the front, which are notorious for being the ones that get splashed the most. Which do you pick?
  5. Bill shouts for the race to begin. All of the canoes shoot off immediately, rowing with everything they have. You start off pretty well, unlike some of the other canoes who stall a little before going. Since all of your canoe members are larger people, you have a pretty good chance at this. You pass Emily, Quinn, Bone, and Alyssa (Remember, the girl from part four) at some point early in the race, Brian and his passe are somewhere in last, they lack organization. Everything is going great so far, you are in the top five canoes, until suddenly, your canoe rams into a submerged stone on your side. A small hole has formed at the bottom of the canoe now, and the four of you slowly begin to sink. Well, this is gonna set you back a lot unless you do something about it. What do you do?
  6. Despite your efforts, the hole will not submit. Your only option is to continue rowing and hope for the best. Your canoe is slowed down greatly, and others begin to pass you quickly. The four of you begin to panic, and disorganized. Emily, Quinn, Bone, and Alyssa are seen chugging ahead out of the corner of your eye. It's about 40 yards left before you reach the shore, and by this time, it's obvious that you won't be making first place. Thoughts?
  7. Eventually, the race ends, with Emily, Quinn, Bone, and Alyssa in first, who are all jumping with joy, leaving Bill and Sam in a close second, with a canoe of all chicks in third. You rank number 18 out of 27, pitiful. Your only accomplishment is that Brian's canoe ranks behind you at 24. Thoughts?
